So I always make sure I’m using the right needle. I normally use a Jersey ball point or stretch needle on my sewing machine. I use my zipper foot and yes I adjust the stitches slightly. My machine is normally set at a 4 or 5 but I know all machines aren’t the same. So definitely do a test run on scrap fabric. And use as many pins as you need to hold it in place. Take your time and make steady stitches. I hope that helps
Lol 😂 I feel you. From my experience, it’s really the wait time in receiving all of your material. I can’t always find what I need locally, so I have to order my supplies and wait for it to come in 😩. Waiting for it to deliver can take weeks or months; especially if you’re dealing with custom fabric vendors 🤦🏾♀️. After I get what I need, it’s smooth sailing from there.
@@DsignherDiaries That makess sense😭 I literally have my graduation in 6 days and the vendor who was supposed to make my dress cancelled last minute saying “theres not enough time to make it” when they received my fabric days ago😭 like I swear it doesn’t take 2 weeks to make one. and now im panicking
I don’t know why I’m in a panic, these dresses seem so simple to do. I think that I’m stuck between her measurements, pattern pieces , and the placement.
@TheVelvetOne I understand the feeling. When I first started out I used a lot of scrap fabrics to help me with figuring out what I needed to do. But the great thing about designing you can do it however you like. There are so many techniques. Be uniquely you and go for it. Trust me it’ll be smooth sailing once you get it going. Start with a mock dress and then work your way into the actual design. You got it 💕
