Epoxy, but he didn't state what kind. Regardless, PVC doesn't do well with gasoline. I've never seen that color of PVC pipe so maybe it's something else or a specialized type of PVC.

@@davidmoore9385 Polypropylene comes to mind as one that I've seen. I think they also use some kind of modified high density polyethylene, and there might be other blends. Plastic gas tanks for cars are often different colors inside and out so they apparently use layers. You could google it to be sure, but I'm betting you won't find any manufacturer that uses PVC.

Pvc does work for gas tanks. Not sure why majors manufacturers don't use it but in a "diy "situation it does work well. I wonder if it holds up well to the UV rays in sunlight? One might coat it with foil or UV resistant paint. It may not work well in automotive applications in an impact/crash? It may split in an impact? That is one theory I have. - - the glue used in this video looks like body filler or bondo? The maker of this video may have not had access to pvc caps and had to make his own end pieces. Blue pipe is typically water pipe or sewer. - - for some reason I think PVC production is related to the petroleum industry. Maybe a component of it uses petroleum? In a hot engine bay, it could possibly be dangerous and build pressure and swell or best. - - these are just my guesses......
