Love both of the tops. 💞. The red and black definitely looks better without the red down the side. I think you would still feel like you have to be at the car wash 🪣 if you have the red down the sides, lol! I absolutely adore you and your videos! I have been a seamstress for nearly 60 years. I am still learning every day! I thank you for being part of everyone’s sewing journey. Happy stitches.💖🪡🧵
Safelight repair, Safelight replace! 😂 I love the idea of easing the extra in with the armbands. I had a knit pattern that had darts but it looked stupid, so I unpicked it (a job, that was) and did some gathering instead. It worked. There was absolutely no need for that dart.
The "fixing your windshield" got me every time. I'll still be here if you start Catherine Auto Shop 😂❤ The red stripe i agree on the side ot would've been too much, but i wonder how it would've looked if it was made part of the back/racerback 🤔 Excellent content as usual and excellent timing, was literally talking today about turning some of my sports tshirts into tanktops 😃👍
I like the polo shirt as a tank idea - thanks to whomever suggested it! I would only have used the red if I could turn it into a princess seam, otherwise meh.
Hi Catherine, thanks for making this video! I tried to convert a t-shirt into a tank recently using my serger to hem the arm holes. (The basic hem where you fold it like you're doing a blind hem, except you just regularly serge it with the knife on). I had a hard time easing the fold around around the arm hole, especially at the bottom of the hole, and I snagged a few puckers as I serged it. The bottom of the hole was so wonky, serged a side seam up the tee (it was a tube-loom style) to cut out the worst of it. Was this just an ill advised way to finish the arm hole? If not would you consider making a tutorial? Thanks!
Catherine you might be right about the windshield thing. Here in Cape Town South Africa it's a security company that use that design. And I do suspect there's a car place with the same color scheme. Some things are universal it seems. :-)
I thrifted 3 men's shirts today and told the cashier about your channel. We agreed the men's shirts seem higher quality. She wrote down your channel name and wants to see if she can do the same.
I like it better without the red sides and piping. They look great on you. However, I don't wear sleeveless blouses, shirts or dresses (because of my ugly upper arms). I call all that loose skin under my upper arms my MUD FLAPS. I shouldn't get any mud in my eyes if I ever have to run through mud.
