I'm going to teach you two different ways to make a rag wreath, one perfect for a storm door and the other thick and plush! Great for memorial wreaths or just something a bit more basic and rustic.
The solid color is also true for fabrics, scrapbooking, and other crafts as well. We tend to grab the prints and forget about getting basic solid colors to have on hand.
Hi, i purchased a 14 in frame from home accents and it has 7 sections . I was listening to your tutorial again and your husband said your frame has 6 sections. I guess I just need to make it as full as i can. I already have 12 in each, i was going to add 6 more on row one. I thank you for the tutorial.
Good evening, I wanted to ask a question. I made a wealth it is a present for family members and it's one that you show on your video. One two different types. I did a 18 inch wealth a single tie on. My question is where do I get a box for a 18 inch metal wreath? 🤔⚘
Here's a little hit: when you get close to the end, tie some ribbon, twist tie, or pipe cleaner and tie it to the beginning of the wreath, around all sections and tie that off. This will keep it from running together, while finishing the wreath.
These instructions are great. Thank you for sharing your expertise. but 1 question before starting: do I wash, iron the fabric before making strips,? God bless.
I'm just now seeing your video and I have a question? On the 2nd one do you tie them on every single wire in each section or are you doing 2 wires at a time? Not sure if that makes sense
I was looking at these jelly roll fabric. There is 20 pieces at 2.5”- 42” long. Could a person use this in a rag wreath. And how many rolls would it take to make a 14 wreath?
Anna, of course you can use anything that will yield you exactly what you need to make this design. Just keep in mind the thickness of the fabric and how tight you might tie you knots.
I know this video is old but I have a question. If your using 3 different types of material, do you do them in a pattern. Such as one color on bottom one middle one top repeatedly?
Hello!! I came across a wreath video while looking for a different ray project. I saw these and said “I’m doing this”. I believe you were making a Christmas wreath and had a wedding one hanging on the door. I’m excited about crafting again!! Thank you for that. By the way, I heard you guys talking about the fires. Where about do y’all live? I live in the east bay.
Oh Tricia, we live in California and this video was from 2018 when California was facing fires literally everywhere. I'm so glad you love these wreaths and they are so much fun to make.
Love the colours, really looks like fall leaves...Do they have to be perfect 1 1/2 inch? I screwed up on 3-4 strips...will it be that noticeable? Your so lucky to have such a loving supportive hubby & something you 2 can do together. Thx just subscribed.
Not at all. In fact sometimes its those small imperfections that really make it interesting and you won't notice it all all on the finished product, TSAM333
I try to find things that will go well with the design I have in mind. Sometimes smaller prints work well so you don't loose a lot of the detail. Bigger prints might work if you're simply looking for bold colors instead of a print or pattern per say. I usually use only wired ribbons if I can find them first, but have used non wired as well Sue!
Hard to say without seeing what you have to work with but try working it a section at a time. I don't get so worked up in trying to keep my sections the same, but more along the lines of keeping it full.
love ya but really wish you would video overhead and just video your hands without your distracting cutting mat. Your a really good teacher. thanks for making these videos.
Thanks for the feedback. This is the view that you are suggesting that my private group members get. For the public group we want to show everything so you don't miss out on some of the elements of the design.
Angie, yes you can sell any product in Etsy as long as its not a trademark, licensed or copyrighted one, meaning does it contain a sign, embellishment or print that you would have to acquire a license to sell it in your shop.
