Rich one of the feeders on the cable line inside the seat has probably broken or the cable popped out of it there’s not much you can do for it being a little lose other than taking the seat apart and replacing that small cable guide.

Push the seat slightly forward. This takes tension off the cable. If the seat is all the way back you have less cable to work with.

My wife saves me a lot of the time too. :-)

Same process. Remove the cap and take a pair of Needle Nose plyers and pull the cable while lifting your seat. Then follow the rest of the instructions in this video to swap the cable holder.

Just did it on my 2011 which also doesn't have the latch and screws. Just pop out that little center rounded cover and you can still fix it. Proceed as he says here.

Pretty sure its the same. But you won't know until you take the cap off.

At the dealer. Unless you can find exact what you need on line.

? I have no idea what you are referring to. Nothing was bought. I simply moved the cable to the other hook.

Pull back on the seat as you pull the cable. This should release the tension that is placed on the cable. Then it should release.

If I pull all that I can pull and it still does not release what else could I do to get my seats back up?

You need two pairs of plyers. One to hold the black part and the other to pull the cable. This will release the latch.

@@JONSDIY I held the black part and pulled the cable and it’s still not releasing

Make sure the seat is in the up and locked position. Then attempt to release it.

@@mahdirageef1249 Not sure I understand. The latch is a release mechanism. There is nothing that locks the seat in the down position. And there certainly is nothing that holds them down once released. There is something else going on with your seats that has nothing to do with the latch. I will have to take a look at mine tomorrow in detail to see if I can help you out a little better.

well if the cover is missing that one step less to do in order to access the cable. 🙂

Are we talking about the screws that hold the cap in place? You can get them at Home Depot or Lowes.
