The person that fit my laminate flooring would say that laminate has been fitted the wrong way round because if whoever fitted it last fitted it the long ways there would be less cuts and it would make the room look bigger with the boards going length ways.
@ToxCcc You know you are spot on with this. I think it may have been fitted that way to get round the door opening that connects the two living rooms and makes them open plan. Do you know a way round this?
@@brebnerrenovations432 When I helped my friend do his with the new tip mentioned by the floor fitter. With a similar layout to your house with a hallway leading into living room that extends to kitchen we started with there at the hallway right wall (as you walk in) the most difficult bit (as we are beginners, only ever watched people fit it) from there we worked forwards and backwards easily. Admittedly i do like how the previous owner had the laminate fitted underneath the skirting board. As my friends had skirting boards fitted before the flooring so we fitted the ugly beading afterwards which i hate.
@ToxCcc Ahh yes the beading. Thanks for getting back to me. Lots of great tips there. Well done on giving it a go. Not beginners any more. Did it look good when you were done?
