So cool mate, I would have thought you needed to pressure cast for something like this but I think the key is painting the resin in the corners and top piece like you said.

I can see that it is a struggle to pull it out of the mold. have you tried spraying something like oil or wiping a bit of petroleum jelly on the molds before you pour in the resin?
