So do you put the membranes in parallel or series. Hint: Seawater has a salinity of about 35,000 ppm. Or 35,000 / 1,000,000 = .035 or 3.5% of seawater is not water. So even after you take out a lot of water from seawater, it still has a lot of water in it.

Osmosis Watermaker - Part 4 [DIRECTORS CUT] A lot of great tips, particularly waxing up a jigsaw when cutting steel, way easier than oils and probably has a higher interval between applications. This video really made me appreciate how great your team is at making videos with good rhythm, lighting, angles, etc. It's really appreciated

@@Diggnuts Any small leak on the high pressure side will create a water jet that could ruin the inverters in seconds. And it's very salty water as well. Shielding of the electronic parts is a must here.

If you are worried about the TDS sensors spinning, a compression fitting tee will fit that plastic tubing and not allow your sensor to spin. Not sure if the sensor will fit in a compression fitting, though.

Great job, Doug. Will you consider adding brass engraved tags attached to the main hoses, valves and switches? SO everyone knows what they are opening or shutting? Will you shield the main electronics- inverters and switchboxes, etc - near the reverse osmosis, with acrylic ? Otherwise they will get sprayed by seawater or accumulate damp which oxidizes the contacts!?

No. If you can't tell what it does by looking at it then you got no business working it. And more shielding that what it already has.

Do you still have a problem with your overflow/backwash tank implementation? The overflow first fills the left (A) tank, then starts filling the right (B) tank. In this video you say that you will draw backwash solution from A. In your installation I do not see how overflow will move from B back into A. Eventually, tank B will fill to the top, and tank A will already be filled. Did I miss something?
