Camera movements that include changing the height of the camera are always challenging when you don't have a jib or advanced motion control rigs. But with this DIY manual camera rig you can bring a nice and clean camera move into your stop-motion production. With this rig you can change the camera angle frame by frame from sideview to overhead as you are animating a puppet or an object on your stop motion set.
In this video I'm explaining how this rigs works and how I've combined this manual rig with a motorized turn table to shoot a stop motion of a donut box rotating from the side-view to the the top-front angle.
