Hi if you view my other video "dyi eave hook ..." you will see what is holding the other side that I'm not standing on. It may not be needed but I felt more secure with a line attached to the scaffold and to my safety harness

This is redundant, you could use a couch cushion or a pitch hopper. Or if you’ll live there forever you can invest in a pair of cougar paw boots that make 8/12s feel like 4/12. To build this nonsense is really just OP, the boots I mention with a cushion and a pitch hopper your more than golden, this guy is just a bored retired engineer probably, he also should get velux skylights instead of this trash lol.
