The longer X axis will be the way to go and if your thinking of changing the torch holder the type i use now is the the best i have used so far. Just love your rotary axis setup.
Hi Rob, thanks the video update of your rotary cutter (and thanks for the shout-out, too). Shame about the issues you're having with MyPlasm but I'm sure Lukasz will do everything he can to make his software work correctly. I didn't realise that you were scrapping your stand alone rotary cutter for an integrated one, attached to your big table...but it makes sense, though, as you don't need 2 plasma sources (or spend time swapping one to the other), etc. I've not made any progress towards a rotary cutter yet, but 'never say never'. I'll sure get in touch with you if/when that happens, but in the meantime, I'll be watching your upcoming videos and look forward to seeing your issues have been resolved. I didn't realise how big your operation is, until you took us all for a walk through your 'other' shed....amazing work that you do!
Did the Myplasm guys make a note to up date this problem after you emailed them? I build bike frames and have Langmuir plasma pro. But I need to cut 20ft lengths of tube and my tables only 4ft long so I think I will need to make a stand alone system specifically for tube. That being the case myplasm looks like it is a good solution if this problem was fixed or a there a math formula that correctly solves the issue that I can do manually. Go for you having all that work! Well done
There seems to be a slight problem still but I found that if you put in internal dimensions it does work and line up with sheetcam dims. I still would not use anything other than myplasm for this sort of tube cutting. If I can help further drop me a line. Thanks for the compliment
