this is a scissor lift table i use 16mm linear actuator for lifting, i also use 60X60mm tiles for the table it comes out nice and brilliant looking. all metals are 1x1 and 1x2 tubular.
power supply should be 12 volts and atleast 5 amphere up.

You need to add a safety mechanism. If those actuators fail when at full height, its' going to be a messy and danger disaster. Suggest a one way latch for the lower rolling mechanism that locks the top bed at intervals so if it fails, it will only drop to the last latch. You can make this unlatch when lowering and spring loaded with a return when it reaches the lowest position.

Is the steel galvanized? If so, the fumes from welding it are very bad for you. You should grind the steel around the weld first to remove the galvanized coating. Pleas be careful. Also, as someone else said, The tiles look very fragile and are not designed to support any weight. They are designed to late flat on the floor below them.

Just use a respirator in a ventilated area. No need to grind anything then. In any case you should always wear a respirator welding/grinding ect anyting metal related generally rule of thumb is use a respirator.

He's stick welding aluminum genius. His big issue is that he didn't super clean the joints before welding.

T salinger1026 - I am not a welding expert, but I’m pretty sure the caster plates are steel as is the small square stock he used to guide the sides of the bearings. Please search down in the comments were Toro Bravo asks if it is steel or aluminum. His response is “iron”.

So cool!! Is it possible to put the linear actuator lower down so that the scissor lift is almost totally collapsed on the ground ( given that the stops you made was placed further away)- or does the linear actuator only lift the table if it is in a sloping degree? OK design... I'd have used far thicker stock. Big Question: why would you use TILE on a worktable? Not practical if you are meaning ceramic / clay tile... is this fiberglass reinforced tile? Otherwise... plywood would have been the better choice. (can't tell from your video) The design is good... I can see why the light stock - the actuator power isn't there if you use thick wall tubing (3mm-4.5mm). Anyway, I am supposing you designed for a specific purpose and it works for you so Congratulations!

thats brilliant !... great design and very versatile too. I could use that for lifting my bike or scooter or as a workbench for ripping sheet wood or any woodworking or metalworking project. It could also be used to push heavy awkward items of furniture around. fantastic thanks for sharing your design

A platform bike lift will set you back about £350. Food operated. Hydraulic. Or, look up “Abba sky lift”. A bit dearer but looks like a nice piece of kit. Others can be operated by worm drive using your electric drill.

I've been wanting to build a linear actuator powered lift platform for working on lawn mowers or whatever else. After looking up the actuators used & seeing they're only rated at 100lbs., these would not be strong enough for want I want to make. I've already got a bunch of different actuators of various lengths & force ratings, but although I believe you did an excellent job with your build, it wouldn't be powerful enough to lift as much as I'd want to & it didn't go low enough to get a mower or anything heavy onto it very easily. Otherwise, as I said, I believe you did a very good job. What kind of material are those panels made of? Keep up the good work, Sir.

Trust Noone You can alter the specs and use heavier gauge of steel as well as bigger cylinders and go pneumatic too. If you're a tinkerer then you know that the sky is the limit to what your imagination can change.

Looks real nice. Good work. How much weight ( in pounds ) can it lift ? Nice White shirt too, but it looks like a fire hazard. Poor choice of footwear as well, not what I would choose to wear while welding.

Great video. Great design. I've been looking for something like this to learn how to put the bearings in correctly. My only suggestion would be adding some guarding on the outside of the bearing slots so that you dont accidentally pinch and crush your fingers as the table actuates up and down

@@SekAustria 80 amps and 6013 rod, its good for very thin material, what gauge were your tubing, if I would guess, around 1mm or 20 gauge, I guess you went for your needs, and built it accordingly, BUT the design is great, I am thinking of building one this summer, the dimensions will be pretty different, and I probably use 1/4 inch tubing, but I am not yet settled with the lift mechanism, there are 3 possible methods, linear actuators, hydraulic pump or large threaded rod and screw, 2 of the actuators I have push 600 pounds each and for 22 inches...what made you chose actuators???

1. Very nice welding. 2. But, like many other comments: some support seems neccessary under the tiles 3. Why the actuator was put there? It limits the range (initial height is quite high) and puts very high load on the starting point: the lever works against it.

How much kilo can the table hold? And the bottom rail can made so the frame rolls in and out while table goes up and down. So you won't trip over it.

@@SekAustria that's galvanized steel… that shit will give you lung cancer right quick, when you weld it without a proper mask... take care of yourself and get a proper gas mask, with real filters. that white cloth you are wearing does'nt do anything...
