I love love love this project, but mostly I love the versatility - on grass, in a bookcase, on the floor and in the oven…….!!!!!!!!!!!! That was so sweet seeing your daughter. Hope she’ll be joining you every now and again. Maybe do a tiny-sized children’s journal that kids can make and she helps you…..!!!!!!

I love this so much! My sons in the military can't always carry their journals I made with them. Too bulky. These are so perfect to shove in their back packs!! Anywhere! Thank you!!! I'm doing these.

If the edges of those ragged pages were gilded gold, it would look dazzling darling!!! And the scrolled design lends itself to holding writing implements, reminds me of the roll up paintbrush and pen holders. I like your little one with the flowers painted on it, has the journaling pages plus pockets and writing pen pocket.

Thanks for starting the new year off with a wonderful and fun video! I purchased some small pieces of brightly colored faux leather a while back. I didn't use them for what I had intended to use them for so... I could make a few small (half size) journals from them. I'll have to think about that.

I have just started the video and already know I need to make this for my 9 year old grandson. He loves the author Charles Dickens and anything to do with that time period, and would enjoy writing his stories in this journal! Awesome!

Thank you for posting this! About a year ago I was blessed to meet a new friend who had owned an upholstery shop for 35 years and she was retiring. She sold me all of her beautiful fabrics and vinyl! I probably have 70 or 80 bolts of every color you can imagine, and even more of the most beautiful upholstery fabric you've ever seen! But I don't do upholstery!! My only thought was to make tote bags. After watching A LOT of your videos, I am now doing pamphlet stitch journals using some of the fabrics. Now I am going to be making these!
