Great. So simply and well explained. A video on planting would also be great.

I have not collected this seed before but I will this year. I assume that cutting the dried flowers off will promote bloom.
@easy.gardening
@easy.gardening Год назад
That is right Carol, if you deadhead the spent flowers it will encourage a lot more. It's worth deadheading them earlier in the flowering season but letting them go to seed as the season comes to an end - if you want to collect the seeds

do you have to cold stratify the seeds?
@easy.gardening
@easy.gardening Год назад
Hi Bailey, no - the seeds should be stored in a cool dark place over winter. Avoid storing them in a plastic container to prevent condensation and rotting the seeds. Paper bags or envelopes are a good idea for storing. Hope this helps.

Hello and welcome back! Unfortunately not, I actually didn't grow any Rudbeckia flowers this year but do have plans to next year. Watch out for the video in Spring :-)

Can you cut them and dry them at home
@easy.gardening
@easy.gardening 11 месяцев назад
Hello! Yes you can but you’ll need to be careful you’re not cutting them too soon. The seeds do need to fully mature before harvesting them. Hope this helps 👍
