Isn't it amazing how much more comfortable your workspace is when it's insulated! My last house I insulated my garage workshop and the difference was unbelievable. Great job, Sam!
TOTALLY worth the wait! Sam, this is incredible! What a fantastic job! You have inspired me not to give up on my 9x11 She Shop!! Thanks for being awesome, Sam! Best of luck to you as always, be well!!!
Seeing your journey in what you have created in your brand, and a dream is worth what you have put in it. I just want to wish you the best on your journey and much more happiness to come. Flannel looks absolutely good on you.
Hi Sam, I enjoy watching every of your videos, I appreciate so much of your joy and passion that you have in every project, and I can feel that you truly love what you do. This kind of love resonant in me even though what I do is completely different than what you do. Thank you very much for sharing!
I'm in process of setting up a shed as a shop right now. Just insulated this weekend, next is some kind of flooring, then move in all the tools! Nice job on yours, mine won't be nearly as nice looking.
This is the first time I've seen your channel. Very impressive work -- your new shed-shop looks great! I'm building one myself a little smaller than yours, about 9x12. Although I now live in Japan, I grew up on LI. Miss the place sometimes. Best of luck to you and much joy in your DiY endeavors!
Very Very Cool Kid!! And... a cameo from Pops is always a welcome treat. This is how you know who watches till the end, the whole time I was waiting for the doors to magically swing open from your IG story 😂 & at the end I was like ahhhh there it is👍. Stay Golden Ponyboy, Dirty Jersey out!!
Do you know they make magnetic chalkboard paint? I’m thinking those doors would be a great place for making notes, jotting down measurements or reminders, hanging up idea pictures with some magnets.
My wife bought me a beautiful 12' x 15' custom-built shed this past spring to make my woodshop out of. Up until now, I've had no clue what direction I would go with it, thank you for the inspiration... great job!
Noticed you only showed the front face in the end shots 😏 Hope you found time to paint the other sides of the outside of the shed. It looks amazing and I'm in total shed shop envy
Hi Sam! Just started watching your channel and loved this shed shop build! Great job! I am really curious about the split unit you installed for climate control. Have to be honest here, I sweat my bupkus off in the summer n freeze it in the winter. Definitely curious about this unit and any information you can provide. Keep up the great content and I will be subscribing. I also work full time and do woodworking on the side. I really have to get better organized like you!
Hi! Here’s a link to the unit I picked up: homedepot.sjv.io/2rK6AM It’s definitely a splurge, and I got a dual unit so that I could gift one to my dad for his garage too (since it’s next to my shop). They do make single units that run slightly cheaper. But, I’ve used this brand before and they’re awesome!
More space would be nice! It’s really hard to work with full sheets of plywood in here or boards over 8 feet long. Would love an outfeed table one day!
I’m sure you’ve been asked this before but where does the Huntress part of the channel name come from? Does it mean something? Like seeking out cool ideas or something else? I’d be interested to hear about it
It’s actually a play on the term “Bargain Hunter”! Except, I’m hunting for DIY projects now instead of bargain furniture. ☺️ I’m hoping to film a fun Q&A soon to tackle a lot about where I started and the history behind the name/brand. Hope you’ll stick around for it! 💓
Quick tip on painting trim that is proud of the field color: a) do it last, b) use a narrow roller. It goes crazy fast vs a brush. You still have to "cut in" edges against the field color using a brush, but the time savings on the proud surfaces is substantial
I’m in the process of planning and building my first she-shed…thank you for posting these videos! You have great information, and I’ve really enjoyed the “reality-ness” of it, honestly. I also work full time, and getting the projects finished and fit in can be challenging! Appreciate your insulation portion here, made me think ahead! Carry on, gf…sending positive home acquisition vibes your way!
What a great looking shop. As a fellow long islander, I know the challenge in becoming a homeowner with a garage shop is hard right now, but It will come in time. I’ve Followed on IG throughout and its great to see the whole project come together. I love your color choice for the outside and the concrete accent wall is killer. Keep up the great work.
so cool! i dont' know much about tools or wood working but wondering, would it be a possible project to build retractable shelves to reach tools and scrap wood in high areas? #shortpeopleproblems :(
By doing jobs that others do to make a living, we might learn to appreciate not only what others do but how blessed we are in our own occupations. Regardless, YOU are gifted and that is evidenced by all you do in your shop. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Sam, been with you from the beginning and enjoy every episode...Your she shed is a dream come true for all us diy women, looking forward to seeing more projects come out of there...Take care....stay safe...
I had a question and I hope I can get your advice, I just turned 15 and I have been doing woodworking and furniture builds for about 3 months now and I uploaded my floating shelf build on my channel, I was wondering how should I organize my time with working on projects, editing and recording the video itself.
Your workshop looks great. The video only showed 2 sides of the shed. Did you paint the other 2 sides? lol Maybe move the mitre saw on the other side, further away from the AC. Great videos, thanks for sharing.
@@diyhuntress Fastcap is the one I have it works great. If contact customer service bet they would send you one to review on your channel. They are a great company and love to help you anyway they can
@@diyhuntress You're quite welcome. I have enjoyed your creativity and personality for some time now. Recently, I noticed an ugly comment directed at you when you responding to a workbench build on another channel. I'm hoping that you can ignore such trashy talk and know that you have a lot of friends out here.
Ha! I said I’d never do drywall ever again. Since then every project has required me to do some form of drywall replacement or patching. There’s always holes to be made. 😓
Ghoshhh i am Speechless All I can say is you are an inspiration I need to watch this video multiple times just to grasp what an Amazing growth you have achieved ❤️💯
I think a CONGRATULATIONS is in order!! I totally understand the procrastination when working on a huge project. I totally get bored looking at the same project for too long. Every once in awhile you just have to take a long break and let the passion for a particular project grow again. Your shed shop looks fantastic!!
