The room looks great. If you're wanting to add a bit of color, I suggest hanging a big piece of art on the protruding wall in front of the bed (between the mirror and the clothing rack). Perhaps a modern canvas with a wooden frame?
i cant stop imagining how good that room would look as a plant room. like just covered in plants and then there's a space in the middle to chill and relax while being surrounded by plants😍😍
A framed piece of artwork would look great in this space and give u that pop of personality. The shelf suprisingly worked great. Nice bedding. And ur right about the white balancing the cityscape.
The fact that you got the bed up is impressive honestly. Granted an elevator does help (I live on a 3rd floor walkup so I wish lol) but I doubt I would have managed that on my own
I love how you can get these expensive looking pieces from the thrift store. Also that view from your windows at night? Amazing! Really worth the purchase.
It looks amazing!!! I wasn’t initially sure about the closet solution (thought sun would damage/fade your clothes hanging on it & blinds wouldn’t close all the way) - but then you added the greenery and it’s brilliant!!! The whole room looks so calming and relaxing.
The fact that i watched her transforming her house from the beginning to the end is literally insane. there struggle is real. Love u girl u did so well ❤
I don’t think they’re allowed to technically list it as a second bedroom because there isn’t a closet. I don’t know if it’s like this in Canada, but I know in the US a bedroom has to have a window and a closet to qualify. Anything else usually gets listed as a “bonus room”
i cant stop imagining how good that room would look as a plant room. like just covered in plants and then there's a space in the middle to chill and relax while being surrounded by plants
This looks soooo good. The only thing i would suggest for it to be an actual bedroom is a curtain of some sort covering the window in the door, for more privacy
If you every did get a roommate, opening a doorway into that other storage closet may be an option. Its a pretty big storage closet and could have shelves and a hanging rod for their closet on one side and your storage on the other.
Love the room. Yo how cool would it be if she had a propagation station on the wall like in collage style? cuz the room gets a lot of light that would look pretty cool.
By far one of my all time fav room makeovers everrrr, this was sooo satisfycing and comforting to watch, plssss so never stop posting them condo videos, they keep me alive 😭😭😭❤❤❤
Me, my husband, and my daughter live in a Small room together and we got the day bed and it was amazing for 3 years. We closed it up when my husband wanted to workout in the room or when my daughter wanted to play and the three big drawers at the bottom were pretty useful. Good buy in my opinion.
Love the after! You could get a big piece of vintage art or vintage looking art. Something that matches the vibe of the gallery wall in your dining room. You can add color that way and it’ll feel cohesive with the decor of the rest of the house.
The room looks great. Just be careful of what you hang on the clothes rods because a lot of stuff will fade in the sunlight. I love the lighting fixtures and the cord covers. Yes!
I love everything about the room. Good call on finding your bed through another source. Just a suggestion what about putting Black Out drapes up to cover the windows to keep it cooler, and privacy. You can slide them open or close. Since you don't have central ac. ❤
It is so cuteee I’m literally in loveee even though it’s very white and bright it definitely works I would literally just hang out and chill there all day slay queen!!!
Okay I’m not done watching so maybe you figure it out but you can change the direction that a door opens pretty easily! So you could change it to open to the hallway/bathroom instead of inside the room and hopefully be able to use more space for furniture.
I live for these makeovers. Makes me so excited to get my own place and decorate it exactly how I want. Thank you for allowing us to live vicariously through you with these videos.
This is one of my favorite rooms you've done. Such a smart use of a small space. Someone mentioned some art on the wall and I agree that would look good. Maybe an art poster or something else matte on the wall where the door is, so it adds more variety to the room but no glare or reflection from sunlight. Regardless, this room is beautiful!
Jen i love how you match the vibe We both have same aesthetics We have so much weird We are kinda same ❤ I love the vibes you give Watching you struggle is fun 😅😅 Love you 😘
The room looks so great!! The furniture pieces and wall decor fit the space well, and you did a great job figuring out how to adjust for the strange dimensions!
I loveee this room makeover! and GIRL props to you for carrying up that bed frame by yourself -- I used to own the same exact bed frame and I know the struggle
The room is really nice, I like it. But for the color I would add one or two throw pillows. Maybe dusty rose (pink) and dark forest green. I feel like that would be perfect.
I love the lights the wood trim and that daybed. I think the white does work in this space but I am partial to white as well. Haha The view adds contrast as well. I think personally I would add some type of floral bedding but it would have a white or cream background so it's not much different. 😄💕
Really amazing job - very nice for a guest bed. The only thing I'd suggest is maybe some curtains just in case guests are not morning people? But I love the plant in the tote bag touch.
In order to be considered a (legal) bedroom, the room needs to have both a closet and a window. So that room isnt a bedroom (and is why it wasnt listed as one on the MLS) but that doesn't mean you can't sleep in there lol! So you can use it how you want. You just cant sell it/list it as a 2 bed 2 bath since it doesnt have a closet.
I have an interior design diploma from Humber and I don't care how you describe the space as long as it makes sense to you probably cause I don't remember sh*t about the specifics of every single style and combo. I wonder want Cliff Tan (Dear Modern, the Feng Shui guy) would say. Also, you should look into Murphy beds.
I love the idea with the open wardrobe, maybe add some baskets in the shelves so it gives the illusion of being a little more private? for undies and stuff :p
Are you able to change the direction the door hangs? I may make it easier to access the room. Though you worked around the room constraints, like, perfectly. This is such a cool project.
