Australian pythons always have the coolest enclosures ! I love how they climb. So cool to watch. Not like a boring ball python that just sits under a rock
Very well job done.. Here are just few tips how it can be closer to the surrounding they come from: jungle! .)Put many hanging pots with real, not poisonous, and robust plants. Also some that have a nice fragrance, cause they can sense it, and they enjoy different aromas. Put a pond liner at the bottom of the terrarium so you can put them a 40×30 cm pool/plastic box ...where they can go if they wanna..sometimes they go there just to absorb water, help shed or just to cool down. I think youve done a very well job, This are just little tips how to enhance the living quality of our pets :] Greetings from europe,
I know this is an old video but this design and setup is just brilliant! I love how neat it looks and I’m going to use a lot of your ideas in my own build. Thanks for sharing this enclosure you built!
Top stuff man, Im new to Snakes and have 2 Coastal Carpets. Im in the process of fittin out an old style TV cabinet. Finished im planning for 6 small enclosures (3 each side) and a main display center. Really appreciate how much detail you have gone into here. Some top tips, Thanks Man
We have the same ideas! I was given a 1923 RCA Radiola cabinet and I'm making my Cal. Desert King a new place. I also am using a false bottom for heat! My snake Brian is 28 years old and I'm its 2nd owner. The plant ideas are perfect! Thanks and keep up the great work!
I want to thank you for the idea. I used this same design, however, like I'm it a ding a tattoo, I have put my own touch's on it. It is not fully completed, I still have led strip lighting coming in, and my carpets are still to small to make use of the bottom drawer, tho I have more hides also ordered, and in the mail. Also, I used my heating and air conditioning knowledge to wire in a household thermostat to control the temperature, and put a small pond, for humidity and drinking water in the bottom corner of the terrarium w a recirculation pump, to keep the water flowing, and prevent it from becoming stagnant between cleanings.
Beautiful cage!! I like the drawer idea!! I just got a Coastal Carpet yesterday and I'm going to be starting a project cage out of a display case that I got for free. Unfortunately the glass doors broke so I'll have to get new glass but it'll be fun!!
I live is Queensland Australia, so no need to keep in humidity, the whole house is humid all year round. However if I see the humidity drop i just spray the bedding down a bit.
I've seen plenty of diy .this is far the best I've seen for 🐍.Genious with the drawers for heat pads..Very clean side wiring for timers too.should put some locking latches tho on drawers.how do you clean the enclosure?
I have the same cabinet bro going to turn mine into a snake enclosure too. Thanks for the video an gR8 Idea. keeping mine as whole unit as my flat screen sits on top but putting the enclosure in smae spot. Will do the draw part the same too Thanks buddy I will show you my finish job when done
super cool cage man!!!!!!! what a crazy idea for a hide!!!! I LOVE SEEING WHEN PEOPLE COME UP WITH CRAZY ENCLOSURES lol Im finishing my first cage for my diamond carpet soon and planning on building a MUCH larger one next summer when my jag gets big enough so they can share a nice display cage. i might have to steel your hide idea haha hope you dont mind.
Hi there, I am about to start a project very similar to this, and am struggling to know what sealant to use to waterproof the inside. Perhaps you could tell me what you used please?
What type of heat cord did you use, Im doing some research for building my own snake cage, and all i can seem to find is 30-500 feet of roofing heat cables
Do either of the snakes ever get out of the drawer? I'm just thinking that drawers usually work on slides and don't always fit tight to the top which leaves a gap.
That's impressive man. You recommend the heat cord then? I have a similar set with that 2 draw at the bottom but never thought of using it like you have. A heat pad on its own thermostat at the bottom is best? not heat cords? I really want to try replicate a similar build. I have a similar cabinet and it's also for a jungle.
This is amazing, i'm preping to start something like this for my Ball Python. Quick question if you don't mind. How did you seal up the drawer so they dont escape? My girl is still somewhat small so she fit in to small spaces and I'm afraid she'd sneak out. Any suggestions?
Just wondering where you got your carpets they are beautiful.. i am currently building and enclosure to house either a ball or carpet python.. I ask where u got them because I live in the usa and am having a hard time locating a good breeder
