DIY: Speaker Tinsel Wire Replacement P1 

I used desoldering wick too as a tinsel wire replacement... but just could not solder it to where it met the cone... I used a conductive resin glue with silver particles... It worked a treat.

Just ordered that desoldering wick. We'll see how that turns out. Can't do worse than damage somEthing that's broken already.

I don't understand why manufacturers don't use tinned copper wires for Speaker leads even in branded costly audio systems inspite of knowing that this is the weakest item in every high quality speakers too

Normaly you clean out the flux from this before using it for this so it doesn't corrode ;)
