Why this spray is effective: Spiders, in fact, do taste, and also smell, through special sensory organs on their legs and there are certain tastes/smells they hate. Lemon is the best essential oil to use because it's what they hate the most. Other effective oils include: citrus, lavender, peppermint, tea tree, cinnamon, citronella, and cloves.

Ingredients:
4 cups of water
5 drops of Lemon essential oil
5 drops of dish washing soap
Pour these ingredients into a spray bottle and shake well!

I have found this spray to be highly effective both inside and outside my home. I use this spray for my sons sandbox and have found that it keeps out other insects and bugs as well. I also use this spray in my basement and the stairs leading down to it which is a common spider hangout (my basement has to be accessed through my garage so spiders easily find their way down there)
