Shannon, before watching this video (2019) I watched your (2017) video of you making a DIY Bead Garland Tassel. The 2019 one is so much prettier, as my Gram always said practice makes perfect. I am sure you learn or think of new ideas after making each diy. I Love your channel and you make great diy's for me and others to enjoy or learn from. I want to Thank You.
Somewhere in my garage I have a few hundred beads. I've had them for about 20 years. This is going to makes a lot of Christmas gifts for friends this year. I have everything in my stash to make at least 30 of these. The crazy part is I just bought a strand of these at a Kirkland's clearance sale. Thanks for the inspiration. I love your channel.
Thank you for sharing all your DIYs! Love these farmhouse beads. I made one like your 1st video and turn out great! I painted mine white and dry brushed with elephant chalk paint. Definitely making this one too! The greenery is very pretty but I'm going to add a small wooden heart that I painted with paw prints. My 20 year old cat passed away 3 weeks ago so it's in memory of her❤️😪
I love the beaded garland idea. When we remodeled an old 1 room house that was once lived in ( but used as storage) I rescued an old wood beaded curtain and have saved it for 3 years until I could figure out what to do with the beads. Thank you !
Fabulous... FABULOUS... love these! Yes I will be making these. My favorite spring, summer, winter and fall are the warm whites and creams just like what you have. I throw in fall colors lightly, Christmas colors lightly also. THANK YOU for the great tips you gave us ❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️
I love making these farmhouse beads n their such a cute decor piece.. I always love white n cream with a touch of soft grey then durning winter I just add my darker grey pillows, blankets, texture blankets n pillow definitely gives that winter feel then of course durning thanks giving this past year I added the muted greens then at Xmas I keep mostly white n cream with either a touch of red n black “buffalo check” this last year but I also like adding the warm wood items with my winter decor.. great job Shannon with the beads 😘
I love this’s! Last Christmas I bought some smaller beads at DT, never used them, I might try this. Thank you for sharing. I love neutrals too with a touch of cherry blossom 🌸
Best tutorial out there on this craft idea!!!! Love the idea of using skewers to paint the beads! Shannon, you are a genius!!!!!! Love your diys.... so.....much!!!!💞😄
Just a suggestion for making the the tassels - instead of pulling the tassel off and wrapping it to secure it, you should do the tie around the top that you secure the beads yo while it is still on whatever you're using to wrap your string around. It will secure it so that you don't lose the loop when you pull it off.
Thank you Shannon. I saw beaded garland in a couple You Tubes and have been looking for them. Guess it would be easier and more cost effective to make my own. Great project!
I love this garland, my favorite spring colors are the lavender, pinks, purple, and orange. I have irises in my flower garden along with naked ladies and lilies. The pinks of the naked ladies bloom first then the iris bloom and then you get this pop of orange from the lily
Thank you for sharing such a detailed video. I am inspired to make one now. I am really into yellow and bright green this season. I think I will continue with the yellow theme for summer with lemon décor and other yellow touches.
Love wooden bead garlands, I paint my beads by putting them in zipplock bag with spoonful of chalk paint and roll it around till they are all covered, and they end up looking really chippy 😊
Btw my wooden beads are cedar moth balls, that i drill through to be strang along, you get about 24 for £1 at my local market. I made my bead Christmas three bead garland that way😊 I love your videos
You can also paint the beads by putting a couple of them in a cup with some paint, shake them around and let them dry on skewers. Yours turned out great!
Hi Shanon, these are so cute, I still have mainly black and white going on, just now adding pale pinks and soft yellows , getting Winter weary so having some fun with florals 🤗👍🏻💕
A suggestion that works better than mascara cuz I tried that before is pipe cleaners if you bend one then it will hold it perfect for you and you can cover the entire feed them and then the two and sticking out you can wrap them around the school or scared and have it sticking up or hanging down to dry. I learned this when I was making miniature elf on the shelves and using the beads as the heads
Really lovely 😊 Shannon because of you, I’m totally embracing farmhouse decor (my style is more Industrial-Mid-Century) I love me my classic colors: white, gray & black with pops of color like Tiffany or Robin’s egg Blue. TFS!!!
I have always wanted to make one since they are usually so expensive to purchase and I love the ones you made! I am a fairly new subscriber and I am loving your channel and tutorials. These were beautiful and you are so creative! Thanks for teaching us!
Just curious the lack of color in your decor? I have lived in a farm house since I was born 72 years ago. Our house was built in1879 my grandmother lived here first and there was always color. Green was a favorite and gold browns etc. Love your projects so inventive and cute. Real farmer were into color so I'm just wondering if you just favor the nuturals? Keep up the lovely work you do. Thanks!
I love this Shannon!!!! I really like the traditional spring colors, although I don’t decorate with them. I decorate in a neutral pallet, like you. Have an awesome day! 😁
So cute! What a great idea! I need to make one of these for my bedroom, it would look great! I love to craft, but I lack the ideas that others come up with.
Love how you did these! I’ve made some a few years ago and had so much trouble with the tassels. You’ve made this so easy and understandable! Thank you and I can’t wait to make more and with the leaves this time. 🌱🤗
