Perfect! This is how every RV should be built! CNC cut plywood (not particle boards), glue and screw (no staples), pre-drilled holes, precision and detailed assembly. Thank you for showing us how a quality RV should be built. Amazing finished product, keep up the quality and the good work.
Particle board is full of formaldehyde, bad stuff. It's in carpet and padding too. They won't tell you they have formaldehyde free carpet, they have it but you have to request it.
I’m sorry, DIY doesn’t mean a shop full of world class tools and equipment. The results are stunning, but not amateur by any means. Well done on the beautiful Trailer
It is of such a high quality that throughout the video you had me confused as to whether this was a build by an individual or a teardrop factory in Romania. Reading your replies in the comments etc, made it clear that this is one incredible achievement by an individual with some help from his friends! You mention in reply to someone that you thought it would take 3 weeks, but that it actually took 9 weeks. That is still a very short timeframe for something that is so well done!! Congratulations and may your teardrop bring you many happy journeys and memories to cherish!
Excellent build! I love the use of CNC cut panels. Only thing I think would add to the quality and wouldn't cost hardly anything additional is the use of XPS Pink foam. Has a higher R value and is all around a better material.
Great educational video for those of us who're new to all this! I'm converting a 4x6 aluminum cargo trailer and construction methods are totally different. But, I plan to add a "Ramp Room" which will use many of your techniques. Thanks again!
I agree that this is a factory build. However, I love how everything is precut and fits into place! Love the design and the complexity. This trailer will last a very long long time. Thanks I’ve taken away a lot of ideas in the construction of a teardrop trailer.
thanks Jeff. i outsourced the cnc machining, but having a good design/cad model, and utilising proper tooling definitely makes the final product better
Belissimo trabalho. Abraço
Great work! I hope to build one myself in the future. 😎 For the doors you could have left them in place with a few little tabs on the CNC router. You can then mount the hinges and cut those tabs. No more fiddling with alignment and very easy to do in almost any spot.
Salutare.
Great trailer vid. Not sure if DIY is the proper term. CNC. Couple different welders. Professional build. DIY should be a Dremel, a dull jigsaw, and bricks adding weight to glued sides. My opinion of course.
If you made the door wider at the bottom (non-square), it could be up to 36in wide there and you'd be able to sit in bum first and swing your legs in. Way easier getting in and out. Worked for me!
i didnt have a cnc either, (i do now) i used a local cnc company to cut the parts for me. your right it is so much easier/better to have the parts cnc cut!
Very skilled and and awesome shop. I was wondering if you would consider cooperating on project for furnishing one of my trailers as a camper. Your team know what they are doing and your design is optimized completely. Good luck

Christian,I love and enjoyed watching your video from start to finish.I am just curious how much is it to have experienced workers to build and sell a tear drop camper?
I'm just amazed of how bad he is at doing any actual skilled work. He could have used the panels to draw over the insulating board and make a nice fit, but he decided to chop the corners like a DIY.
he did this himself. his cutter is nice and all, butt he still did all this himself. folk see cnc and whine. from their couch or toilet. a thing they will never make. hand them all the cnc in the world and they woll never give you a trailer. don't sweat the hate. thing looks nice man.

Hi Christian, great job with camper, looks amazing! What is plywood thickness on the walls and what did you used for outside siding, is it aluminum sheets?
thanks, i used 25mm thick plywood for the frame, and 4mm thick poplar ply for the interior veneer. the outside was 1.5mm aluminium laser cut to shape, and the red colour is vinyl wrap
@@christiangreen612 Mr Green i am really impressed with your work all the way from india i gequest you to kindly send me the specification of your marvalous project. i actully started dreaming to get one for my kids here in india.
Nice job, Just today I glued up a 1:10 scale model of the trailer I intend to build. I'd love to have access to the machines you used but I'll be getting by with basic tools and a welder. I'm trying to go 'no wood' and using aluminium composite panels. I recently retired and it will be great to have a large project to keep me busy. BTW, did you build the trailer or buy one?
good luck with your build. yeah if i were to do it again i would make an aluminium space frame, with aluminium exterior panels, and only wood veneer for the interior. you can use a laer cut company for the cnc exterior panels, and contract a wood cutting company with a cnc router for wood panels
thanks. i made the window, by heating polycarbonate in a giant oven, over a sheet stainless steel mould, that i curved in some rollers. something like this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8GMWX_7H094.html the frame was made by laser cut
Thats Awesome Mr Green I would like request you to kindly please send me the specification of the Tea drop . would be hughly obliged. hight /witdh/length etc....
You did do it yourself. Someone with access to less tools could still achieve the same results. I am sure you saved lots of time. You forgot the bathroom and the fender flares should be diamond plate or just not those.
hi Christian, I love your trailer, it's outstanding. I also love the integrated design, where all the shelves and dividers help the overall structure. You did unfortunately not leave any comments or explanations. What trailer frame did you use? what size is your teardrop? I also was wondering: the trailer all of a sudden was red. Did you paint it or were the panels red? And a big question: since it's a CAD design, would you sell the data?
