My husband and I appreciate you beautiful Queen Nikita immensely for ALL of your AWESOME tips! 🎉🎊Your artwork came out sooooo beautiful! My husband showed me this video and we went to Hobby Lobby to purchase our canvases and they were still 50% off. I started working on 2 of the medium sized canvases last night! They turned out FANTASTIC! I plan to paint them later today. I saved the large 36 X 48 one for my husband and I to work together on that project. 😄Once again, thank you sooooo much for sharing this video with us! You Rock!!!! 👋👋👋🤩🥰♥
I’m so happy you will now have Beautiful artwork in your home that you created which makes it even more special! I just know it came out stunning! Thank you both so much for watching 🥰🥰
Wow That looks great! I did a small one last week Just to see how the material is to work with and it came out pretty good but I picked up a few tips off of your video and feel better about doing a larger piece now.
i love the team work. Our spouses have the finishing touches that help us create our vision. Very well done piece of art. Such a great diy inspiration. Very elegant looking~ : - )
Hi, this is really beautiful work. I have a question, what if I wanted it to be beige, or green, or any other color? Can you mix the joint compound with a little paint?
very nice idea and technique...but it should have been painted with and maybe sponge the off white color into it....i would just recommend crispier lines and curves but good job!!!!
Do you put anything over it so it doesn’t break off if it gets rubs against or leaned on ? I can’t find a way to make it strong after it dries and painted over ?
Thank you so much! I used joint compound I explain better and left a direct link here in my new one, check it out 🤍 DIY TEXTURED WALL ART || DIY FRAME || CANVAS WALL ART || HOW TO MAKE MODERN HOME DECOR FOR CHEAP ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QJ1Xr6xFYpc.html
For those asking here is the link for the exact joint compound I used www.homedepot.com/p/USG-Sheetrock-Brand-4-5-gal-All-Purpose-Ready-Mixed-Joint-Compound-380501/100321605
Did you notice the joint compound starting to crack or fall off the canvas before painting or after painting it? What could you do to cover up the cracks to make sure pieces don't start to fall off the canvas?
Hey Patrick! I did not run into this issue. However my advise would be to let it completely dry and be careful when checking, also use some type of sealant or spray like we did as a finish, be sure not to layer on joint compound too thick as well.
People I would not do try this. It's eventually going to start flaking off or cracking. Jointing compound its in the name, it's not meant to be applied to a canvas. Looks good but I would suggest looking up how to make a thick paint compound instead.
