Years ago I wanted to try macrame, and the very first tutorial I tried was one of yours. I went on to develop my skills and do very well selling my work. I even had an interior designer buy several custom pieces from me for restaurants in the Atlanta area. I appreciate you sharing your skills!
Too cute! You can use binding around the inside of the lamp, or on the edge. I’ve used the cute tassels kind before and it turned out so cute!! …loved all your projects ❤
Loved all these makeovers. I think I liked the lampshade most. An idea on the lampshade is some wide ribbon glued on the underside and also maybe paint the underside as well, as some others have suggested, also.
I love love the lamp shade makeover! I have two shades that aren’t in the best looking condition while the structure is still good. I didn’t want to buy new shades as they can be costly for big ones and it’s hard to find the shape, as well as two identical ones at thrift stores. So I’m going to find linen at the thrift to cover the shades with. I love the print you found too! Thanks for sharing! 💕
You could use either bias binding or ribbon on the inside of the lamp shade. I do think, however, that the shade is too big for the lamp base. Do you have another base you could use this on? My favourite transformation is the candle holder.
