something to consider is using ABS glue on the closed end with a solid end cap and then using a solid end cap over the red screw on cap also- except drilling out the end so you can access the red screw on. As it will stick out a bit this will protect the wing nut and red cap from damage and it will be uniform on both ends for strapping down. SECURITY TIP: Paint the red cap black and it will be less noticeable and less likely to draw attention from thieves.
Crater Lake. I was there 1979 with a Chrysler LeBaron Town & Country Wagon (fake wood on the sides). I have a photo from the exact same spot, scanned from slides. With the same dead tree in the foreground.
the black plastic oxidizes and becomes brittle in the sun. not usually a problem in indoor plumbing. For the cost I'd go this way and replace when it starts cracking out. Or paint/shield from the sun. Red toilet pipe plug looks good.👍
Most of the time they are referred to as “test plugs” used to temporarily block a pipe while it is cleaned or pressurized (like a sewer line/ toilet/ drain) or .,subjected to vacuum. Search for the brand Oatey www.homedepot.com/p/Oatey-4-in-Gripper-Mechanical-Plastic-Test-Plug-....
I tried this the other week and one of the hose clamps broke the first time out. Not confident in that. Going to either use a U-bolt or maybe a T-bolt clamp.
@@WanderingBeast Only took me two years to finally get back to mounting the front tool tube. Ended up using U-bolts and it's really solid. Now I just have to load it up with stuff :)
