simple design, good work. like the trailer light test too. I've made a cement mixer with those winches, they are really loud. I'm looking to make something like this now from a riding mower.
Yes. Drives one wheel. If you had an old lawnmower diff it would work even better. The ball mount distance to the wheel is not far, so torque steer isn't bad on paved surfaces.
@@xolanibooi5356 You would have to mount the wheels solid to the axle. If you do, keep in mind it won't turn as easy under power. I haven't tried it, so I couldn't tell you whether it would be an issue or not.
@@xolanibooi5356 I did this type of dolly and in my opinion this video is very misleading. Like it has no issues lol. It does! I have built one similar and once under major load which this video doesn't show you will need to constantly fight to keep it straight because only one wheels is powered I really mean it. It is a pain and very hard to keep straight. My advice is to make it 2 wheel drive not one. But my axle doesn't spin freely. So I believe the axle is welded somewhere to the dolly frame inside the frame where the axle sits. So then you may need to build the dolly from scratch unless you start cutting up the dolly frame until you find where it's welded so the axle spins and then you probably will need to weld both rims to the axle unless you drill the hub of the wheel and axle out to put a bolt or spring pin through it.
