I followed your tutorial step by step and it turned out perfectly! for the people who want to do this, the type of plastic they used is called transparent film and when ironing turn your iron up to a rlly high setting (I turned mine up to the highest which was a 7). thank you for this tutorial!
You mean I've already wasted 3 weeks doing nothing when I could've used that time to make these beautiful pressed plants? Aight, I'm gonna do these now. Will update if it goes smoothly.
@@malikes4591 The bookmarks had little bubbles all over, but I figured it was probably because I used an old clear plastic folder and which had scratches already. Anyway, I still liked how they turned out. The third one was supposed to have a flower in it too, but the petals started falling off so I had to improvise. Here's a pic if you wanna check them out imgur.com/a/MvZnr72
@@ellainemanlapaz8186 They turned out absolutely gorgeous, excelent choice of flowers and placement, I love them 😍😍 thank you so much for recreating my DIY ❤❤
GURL WHAT?!?! IVE BEEN WANTING TO LEARN HOW TO MAKE THESE FOR AGES ILEGIT THOUGHT I NEEDED SOME SPECIAL MACHINES FOR IT THANK YOU THANK YOU GOD BLESS YOU (sorry for screaming i’m just so astonished)
Aaaa Valentines just passed and I thought about the idea of preserving the flower that my boyfriend got me yesterday. I read a lot of manga and manhwa so I thought about making the flower into a bookmark! Thank you so much for making this video!! They came out so beautiful, I may be a little late to the party but I can’t wait to try it!! :)
@@MyCraftingWorld lovely ❤thank you. I want to ask about the paper is it the reprojector plastification? Bcz I tried that kind we use it for research paper but it shrank
Hlo!! I loved your tutorial and tried to make these bookmarks. But the problem is that the pieces are not sticking even after using an iron. Can u help me to sort this out?
I just laminated last night but I think there is adhesive involved on laminating sheets, and my project last night turned out cloudy in spots. Today I am going to try transparencies, and also report covers. I thought about how some crafters iron cling wrap onto paper napkins and it melts/melds together. Maybe I will try that too.
I used a very hot iron directly on to laminating sheet and it cleared up and worked fine. (I used the kind that goes on front and back of document, and ran through a machine)
Hi, I’ll be doing a project similar to this and would like to know what kind of transparent sheet to buy! I’m not sure what the typical “cover of projects” plastic is... any insight?
Hey, love the bookmarks! I was wondering if it has to be 3 weeks to be under pressure. What's the shortest time I can put it under the books before I can start the project? Oh, and do you think roses will work for this project?
Hey!! Plz tell will these flowers and leaves will get more dry after we put them in plastic Or these bookmarks will get damage after few days??? For how many time they long last??? Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz clear my doubts I request
This is beautiful! Thank yo uso much for sharing. Can you please tell me what type of plastic did you use? I’m trying to buy one from Amazon but there are so many types 🤯 I spent an hr and I haven’t made the final choice :(
@@MyCraftingWorld not sure which ones are those 🥴 but thank you so much for replying right away. I’ll go to the local store this week and ask them to tell me which ones are used at school. Thanks 😘🤞🏼
@@mariaclarafurtado7681 that’s awesome! If you don’t mind me asking which brand sido you use? I think I’m using the wrong plastic sheet because it didn’t work :(
@@MyCraftingWorld Tried again, multiple times. This time either the plastic literally melted and swelled, the whole thing got stuck to the parchment paper, or it didn't stick at all :(
My Crafting World ah my iron was too low! So silly the flowers are much darker as I put heat on them for so long but now I’ve learnt how to make it so the next will hopefully look better
I don't think it will work, it won't be strong. Or you can put a strong paper in the back, put the plants, then put the clear tape to pratect. This way it won't be completely transparent ⭐
Hello, thanks for this video. Would someone be able to give a rough estimate on how long to iron for and how long to keep under pressure after ironing. My first attempt didn’t seal lol.
