In this video, I'll teach you how to DIY your USB wired keyboard into an incredibly user-friendly wireless keyboard that supports one-click quick switching across multiple devices (like Windows and Mac), capable of handling fast switches between 8 devices.
Materials Needed:
One wireless conversion module WBT-V3, available at www.wscome.com/
One lithium battery, which can be sourced from an old power bank, a soft pack lithium battery, or a recycled 18650 battery. The key is that it fits inside the keyboard. A capacity of over 2500mAh is recommended, with no specific requirements for discharge capacity. The module has very low power consumption, and under normal circumstances, the battery life depends on the keyboard's power consumption.
One ultra-thin switch, included free with the purchase of the WBT-V3 module.
Tools Required:
A soldering iron for soldering wires. Whether to use it depends on your modification method; it can be omitted if not needed.
A multimeter for locating the USB wiring. You can substitute this with a homemade test light or other methods.
Key Points:
Be cautious not to reverse the positive and negative poles, as this will damage the module.
When securing the battery, be aware that the solder points on the back of the keyboard's circuit board might puncture the battery. Use cardboard as a spacer to prevent this.
If there isn't enough space inside the keyboard, you can cut the interior with a utility knife. Use a new blade for easier cutting.
For the use of micro switches:
A single short press turns the keyboard on, and two consecutive presses turn it off.
For the use of ultra-thin surface-mount switches:
They can only be used to turn the keyboard on. To turn it off, use the key combination Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F12 and hold for 5 seconds.
The module features a sleep function that will automatically power off after a period of inactivity. The sleep wait time can be adjusted through software.
If you have any good suggestions or ideas, please contact me. I am very willing to consider your thoughts.

This looks great, Ive got a corsair v70 mk2, i really dont want to pull it apart, so i was thinking would it be possible to put the kit into a plastic electronics project box for example? I was thinking of 3d printing a box perhaps to fit under the keyboard and just plug the keyboard into the project box for example. That way i can plug and play ie plug keyboard into project box that contains the modules and battery.

Absolutely. In fact, one of my works is a 3D printed box for this module.

This is Great, Hope the WBT-V3 doesn't have keybindings/shortcuts so i can use it

@@jamjam2219 on your previous video's you explained that you use shortcuts programmed on this PCB, is there a version where you have no shortcuts like this? Shortcut Keys: Ctrl+Alt+Shift+1 to switch to the first device, Ctrl+Alt+Shift+2 to switch to the second device, Ctrl+Alt+Shift+3 to switch to the third device, and so on. This supports up to 8 devices for switching Press the power button once to turn on Press the power button twice in a row to turn off Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Q (Bluetooth mode) Ctrl+Alt+Shift+W (Wired mode) Ctrl+Alt+Shift+E (2.4GHz wireless mode) Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F1 (Restore factory mode, press for 10 seconds) Right Ctrl+F5 (Open player) Right Ctrl+F8 (Next track) Right Ctrl+F11 (Volume switch) Right Ctrl+F6 (Previous track) Right Ctrl+F12 (Calculator) Right Ctrl+F7 (Pause/Play) Right Ctrl+F10 (Volume down) Right Ctrl+F9 (Volume up)

@@classifiedlegendary All of them have shortcut keys. Maybe I will release a version without shortcut keys in the future.

@@jamjam2219 Thank you, that would be Great, i understand there will have to be a toggle switch to change from WIFI to Bluetooth to Cord to make it fully usable

I'm interested in your device but have a few questions. 1. When the device is connected to a computer via USB-C cable will this function like a normal USB device or can it only be used as wireless? 2. Can this be used to connect a wired gamepad controller and be recognised as an x-input device?
@jamjam2219
@jamjam2219 Месяц назад
1. When the type-c data cable is inserted, you can use the shortcut keys ctrl+alt+shift+w to select the wired mode. At this time, the module is the same as a normal USB device, and data can be transmitted through the data cable. You can also use the shortcut keys ctrl+alt+shift+q to select Bluetooth or ctrl+alt+shift+e to use the wireless 2.4g mode. 2 The module does not support game controllers because there is no code written into the game controller

Hi. I have the module and i use it to connect my keyboard and a diy trackpoint mouse. But i cannot connect both, trackpoint mouse and keyboard at the same time (using a USB multiple extension). Do you know any way to perform this?

@jamjam2219 Месяц назад
@@kanando15 Yes, brother, this WBT-V3 does not support most USB hubs, it only has one interface. So I made WBT2, which has two interfaces, so the mouse and keyboard can be used at the same time.

@@RyanKoh-tv2rj I haven't tested this model of keyboard. The module is based on USB HID protocol, and all keyboards based on HID protocol can be used. You can check whether your keyboard model uses HID protocol.
