I just finished making this. I just need to add the feathers and it will be done. It’s all I’ve done for the last 4 days!!! Lol. It’s an incredible amount of work and definitely not for beginners but I got through it. Whoo hoo!! Amazing video. But I did need to add extra cord length to achieve the final product. Otherwise, very easy to follow. Definitely recommend this tutorial!

This tutorial is great. One suggestion that might help ease of following along would be a bookmark when you start each section so that it can be easily referenced back when you go to the next side since there is alot of repetition

Thanks for the very good and educational tutorial. Only one problem with it, either the starting measurements should be way more accurate so the roaps last for the rest of the project, or better instructions for how to add more roap. Thanks

Hi Yael, thank you ❤ We did realise that only after done, we should show a scene with the total number of cord need to be cut from the first scene. However, all the cords are cut into 1 meter length for the whole project, only the numbers of cord we've mention in different scene.

Hi, you can't connect to the short cord to make it longer , but you can add on by adding new cords on top to cover it behind

I love this!!! But....I’m to the point of attaching to the hoop but mine seems to be to big for 20cm hoop?! Did I not do it tight enough? Or?

Hi Victoria, yes, if it is too big for 20cm means you are making it more loose. You can change the size of hoop , rather than remake it which spend a lot of time

Lovely video. I just finished it and it's beautiful. However the measurements for the cord length is off. I had to keep adding string which made it a bit frustrating. But in the end very much worth it because it's stunning.

@@TheCraftCat awesome I will. But you should update the measurements of the initial cord length and also the hoop. It's more like 35 cm hoop and 3 meter cord! The measurements you have currently are not right.

Our material lists shown on opening scene, kindly refer to scene 0:30. And the length and cord size was written in caption area, for example scene 0:34.

Hi, we use 3mm marcame cord , it is 4ply cotton cord. 😊

This is stunning! Once we are at the bottom (1:53:35) can you tell me how many half hitch knots you tied until you reach the center? It is not clear from the video if you are using a single piece to hitch or if you are using two combined. These are the pieces we had a single original cord (short) and added cord which is technically two pices, but I think they are being half hitched as one?

Hi Thank you, it is every single piece that made half hitch using the 1st from both side as axis. Until it reach the centre.

Cześć, przepraszam za spóźnioną odpowiedź. ponieważ 50 cm jest o wiele większe niż to, a do tej pory nie próbowaliśmy z przewodem 5 mm, trudno powiedzieć. Być może możesz wypróbować kilka pierwszych rund i oszacować, czy jest to odpowiednie.

Gracias. Todas las cuerdas tienen la misma longitud, que es de 40 pulgadas. Necesitará un cable de 40 pulgadas x 34 piezas. abrir la torsión de cada cuerda = Total 136 cuerdas

Olá, no vídeo, depois de terminar de fazer o macramê, havia uma cena mostrando como cortar e adicionar cordas extras para deixá-lo uniforme. Isso pode resolver seu problema.

I started macrame in 1988/89, 3-4 years later it died out, little did I know it would come back, I sold EVERYTHING I bought for next to nothing, I’d say around 500-600 worth of supplies for maybe 20.00, dowels, beads, wooden beads, various round glass (for planters) brass rings, wooden rings....augh...if only I knew what I could do with it now 😢

Sure 😊 The final size of mandala might differ, if you have not buy any hoop yet, it is suggest to buy it only after done the mandala.

We use 4ply cord in this tutorial. This will create a refine pattern which is more delicate.

sí, vendemos el anillo de metal. si usa alambre, la forma podría doblarse fácilmente. sí, tendrá que envolver el cable con una cuerda, como lo hicimos nosotros.

Hi Megan thank you, its hard to fit in all as the string is long, if we fit in all it will not be focus and too far from camera. Therefore the purpose of subtitle is telling what knot we are making.

Hi Tanu, gently should be fine. Recommend just to spray some water and wipe as cotton cords will get frizzy after washing.
