How to make Twin Bed with Storage Drawers and bookcase headboard. This is DIY bed frame, bookcase headboard, and footboard. I used 2x3 mostly for the bed frame and sanded pine plywood on the other parts. Painted with semi-gloss enamel ultra pure white paint plus primer in one. I made two coats and sanded in between. Joints using pocket holes and 2 1/2 construction screws.

This is beautiful love the Idea. I want to make something to this but not with the Drawers but I don’t have a clue on how or what it would run me and I know that if I make a bed Frame it’s going to have to take my kids a long long time to break it let me restart it would have to out last my kids tried of replacing beds ugh maybe I should make it out of steel lol

Build it with 2x4s, I'm pretty sure it will last longer... or with steel =)

where did you get those 2x3, they look nice (no knots), I wanna build one bed like this but the 2x3 or 2x4 that sell my hardware store (home depot) the have a lot of knots and I am afraid the white paint gets stain mark because of the knots
