Thank you for this video, it has helped me a lot as I was struggling to find an auto NO valve here in indonesia. I made a snap shot of the part number and will try and find one. The guy who commented on changing the mounting plate is spot on !
Dear US SOLID this DIY approach works for converting your NC valve to a NO valve but if you just went and made one little plastic part inside with a slot rotated 90 deg you would have a whole new valve to sell. In fact the approach would allow you to have whole line of NO or NC valves.
There is an easier way to turn the US Solid ball valve from NC to NO. Open the blue housing. Remove two screws holding the circuit board and remove it (no need to unhook the wires). Remove three screws holding the motor/gear assembly and remove it. There you will find a plastic, one quarter circuit gear. Remove it; turn it over and re-attach to the brass ball actuator. Reassemble.
