It was my first time EVER sewing ANYTHING from complete scratch fabric with nothing but a sewing machine. And the dress came out /absolutely/ adorable, your steps were so easy and simple to follow, just needed to rewatch things a few times and I got the hang of it. Your videos are beautifully done, but they leave me a little confused when I try to use them. Like I'm unsure how to get the facing part.. do I cut it off the original piece or do I trace a piece and cut it out separately?
