That's a really nice job - looks great and I bet it sounds good too! The automatic volume reduction was pretty nifty. It must be very satisfying when you produce something like this from scratch.
Nice job and case. Really like the remote vol control. The best feature is the auto vol reduction at turn on. I don't remember how many outputs I replaced when the customers kid left the vol on max and blew the outputs and speakers at turn on. One poor guy had it happen 3X. I suspect he sold his kids after that. LOL
Thanks Ian. The transformers came that way, painted black, I stripped off the paint and polished em up,nice ain't they? Never seen transformers like them...DA.
Regards fidelity the noise floor could of been better if I'd used 5534 opamps, but THD and frequency response were pretty good. I build amps using valves not for ultimate fidelity but because I like vintage tech & the aesthetic. Thanks for your input.
