With Halloween coming up, I worked with Goodwill to thrift and DIY a Vanellope von Schweetz costume- just in time for Ralph Breaks The Internet! Let me know if you plan to DIY or thrift any of your Halloween costume this year :)

Made this exact costume for my daughter the first time we went to the Halloween party in Disneyland 2years ago. We used hot pink shoelaces for the hoodie strings and stitches in the sweater. She wants to be Vanellope again this year so seeing how you did the leggings is so much easier than the stress and work I went through last time. I'll definitely be making them your way this weekend! Love your content and thanks for showing the simple ways to make costumes!

Hello , on the packaging of the fabric paint I bought says you have to wash the painted piece afther 72 hours , is it really necessary ? did you wash the pantyhouse afther you painted ?? Please help me !!!

I didn’t! Partially because I was filming immediately after. But I definitely would- that would explain why they were still a bit sticky after I had folded them!

Out of curiosity how many cans of the spray paint for the leggings did you use because I'm trying to do this cosplay, but making the colors red instead for Holiday Matsuri and one can of the fabric spray paint was not enough for it.

All hail to the DIY Disney Costume Queen! :-) I LOVE THIS!!!!! I love Vanellope, she is one of my favorite characters so I went a little nuts when I saw the thumbnail in my YT subscription box! You are so creative! I mean, the rubber thingies with the wire and the sweater with the puffy paint. And the leggings, I legit thought: how on earth is she going to recreate those leggings?! Acrylic pant works better on sturdier fabrics that do not stretch. Wouldn’t recommend it for leggings

7:21 I HIGHLY HIGHLY suggest not using acrylic paint it will NOT move with you and especially if its a kid moving around it will flake

For costumes that I’m only wearing for a few hours, acrylic works fine for me :) If it’s material I’ll be wearing more, I use airbrush paint!
