Was going to sort the bodywork out in the new year when we’ve got better weather as I’ve got nowhere indoors to sort it. Engine was re-built 20k miles or so ago but a few years so just needs a bit of a tune up hopefully. We’ve done 150 mile round trip without issue before parking it up so I’m not too worried to be honest

All part of the adventure! 😂 it was rebuilt only 20k miles or so ago but has been sat for a while so needs a good service & a carb setup and should be good to go

I was hunting for a similar laminate faced chipboard but went out of fashion in the 80’s I think. Just really like to keep as much of the old as possible. Might play about adding some trim to the bottom for a bit more rigidity

@@garylinker69yes, I never realised it was 40 year old🤔 still would be wise to address some of the last MOT advisories as you correctly point out safety related

The van’s exempt as pointed out but we’ll put it in for at-least a pre MOT if not a full one before we leave, it’s not being driven hardly at all until at-least March so we’re not putting it in until then - we couldn’t afford any repairs at the minute anyway. Previous advisories are wheel bearings all round and the footwell/step welding. Going to polybush the lot. Brakes were done recently and engine was actually re-built (a few years ago) 20k miles or so but has been parked up for a while so needs a good looking over. Bodywork’s waiting until the weather hopefully turns back in the new year as I’ve got nowhere inside to work on it.

@@DanniandJoe Hope your lucks in with the pre MOT inspection, still cannot work out why you are waiting till the departure date for an inspection as if the van is dangerously rotten you will have wasted a lot of time and effort. Anyway, good luck and keep producing these good vlogs👍

Yeah as we said in the first video we’ve got no budget for this so doing what we can when we can. The rust in the footwell or rear floor?

@@DanniandJoe bit of both really dint look to good in the back ,but of course your there and im not🙂

@@darrengoodale6854 it’s pretty sound in the flesh, some man made holes from screws and pipes etc. The main issue was the ply on the floor being saturated so causing a lot of surface rust so needed ripping out
