In this episode we talk about how we made our window insulation mats and sewed the mattress covers. We decided to make them ourselves as this way, we are in full control of the materials that are used and we get individualised solutions for a fraction of the price.
A large share of what I describe, I have learnt during the process of actually doing it - so this is definitely doable for anyone who is interested, no matter how much experience you have on the sewing machine.

A few tips we forgot to mention in the video:
0:34 Insulation Mats:
to make sewing in the magnets easier, I first sewed them into tiny 'pockets'. However, it is possible to buy 'sew-in' magnets that are shrink wrapped, specifically for sewing.
7:16 Mattress Covers:
to ensure the backrest leans nicely against the wall, the lower side was cut with an angle. As the angle is on the bottom also during bed mode, there is no loss in lying surface
for the cover to be tight, we cut them 1cm smaller than the actual size of the mattress.
