I’m still toying with the idea of incorporating these to my set up. I have a couple of Kreg Klamp Vises right now that do work well but there are times where it doesn’t quite do what I need. The build in this video seems like it’d give me much more versatility. Great stuff! Thanks so much for sharing it!
Thanks Brian, after the initial purchase of the clamps and bit it doesn’t require much else and allows you to use them on several things. Thanks for the support!
Penalty Box Woodshop That does sound good. I think I’m gonna go ahead and try em out. So I just click the link on your page to ensure you get credit, correct?
That is exactly what I was looking at doing to my workbench in my very small shop area. The only change I will have to make is that the vise has to be removable because I have to use the shelf under the bench for tool storage (again, VERY small shop), so I will probably use threaded insert nuts in the bench and countersink some bolts in the vise. Thanks for the 'proof of concept!'
Really enjoyed this build . Thank you for all the projects you post . You make great & easy projects to make .I don't have all the tools to make some things but you keep it simple & I for one appreciate it . Thanks .
This woodworking book *TopFineWoodworking. Com* contains a great deal of details about woodwork. There are some designs in the book but it is primarily explaining the procedure of how to do various things and what tools to use to accomplish them. In general, this book fulfilled my basic desire to learn about wood working.?
Nice job. Just started using micro jig clamps and will be building this vise, a tabletop to use as a workbench and the taper/jointer/tall fence combo. I like your presentation style and how you adapted this concept for a workbench you already have.
I was planning my work bench, and thought I had it planned yesterday, but today, I discovered the 360 bench. Now I'm planning on building one. I'll start with the table saw sled. I'm newbie, so I have to be a little confident I can do it before tackling something like this. My shop is tiny, 9' x 9'. I'll be building about a 2.5 x 4.5' work bench that will be mobile. I was thinking of using a 1/2 MDF and 3/4 sacrificial plywood for the top. But with this system, I wonder if it will work with the plywood. I just saw someone else who did a vice. He used hickory across the length of his workbench. I'll have to plan for that, but first, I have to see if I can get the top of my bench to work.... This clamping idea seems to be the best. I'm hoping it works out.
Hi Jesse, Great project. I also watched the drill press video. I have to say, I'll be getting some Microjig accessories when i can get back to my shop. Keep up the great work.
I didn`t intend to utilize this woodworking website, *TopFineWoodworking. Com* but rather curious about it. I was truly impressed after trying it. I was looking to find out more about the art of woodworking, and was not dissatisfied. I found several topics such as wood types and designing your workshop.
@@PenaltyBoxWoodshop you see I find it unsettling because for planing the workpiece is supposed situated at the left hand side of the workbench unless you're lefty
Haha understood. I’m so ambidextrous that I didn’t even pay attention. I write left handed and do 70% of other things right handed. That’s a good point you have, though. Thanks!
Hey Jess I can't beleive I missed this video!! I didn't get a heads and I rang the bell. Oh well as usual I ALWAYS learn from you and I am a huge MicroJig fan! Hmmmm why didn't I think of this? I'll be making one for my bench tomorrow. Keep um comin Jess. Miss ya!
Hey Jess just wanted you to know I fabricated this for my bench earlier this year and use it almost every day with my MicroJig clamps. I use it mostly for my Etsy Keepsake boxes for Dovetailig with my Keller System Dovetailing Jigs. Thanks again Jess.
