A serial way ahead of its time. Importance of an understanding life partner beautifully depicted. The level of understanding and concern Suraj has even when he is not as qualified as Sandhya and the absence of ego is truly rare and admirable. Loved it ❤️
Yes Absolutely. Infact most TV serials show a toxic regressive Mothers in Law who hated the Daughter in Law for silly or no reasons. In this show the Mother in Law Bhabo too was toxic but she had a valid reasons (past which wasn't Good). Moreover with flow of time it also proved that MiL can be partial towards son & DiL & it is not bad also. She was insecure when she saw her grandchildren inclined more towards their Mom rather than Dad. She saw both her Son & Dil sacrificing a lot & creating their identity but credit is being bestowed 2 DiL more than his Son. Which Mother can accept it ? It was indeed a perfect show ever created by Star Plus where all other shows go by the same route. Be it Anupama or Ghum or even Kyunki, Kahaani, 7nibhana etc. All these shows have boring disgusting storyline where Evil wins all the stakes he/she plays, hardly gets any punishment for their actions while Good suffers, suffers, finally bites the dust & die so that a leap can occur & shows can be stretched.
22 year old guy here , the only daily soap which I enjoyed. Chemistry of sooraj and sandhya was off the charts , their acting top notch . Just love this show , the way they conveyed such a strong message with so much heart , hats off to the creators.

Sandhya was such a strong character man ..you could always feel the turbulence of emotions going through her And Suraj! Oh god ! There's never ever going to be another male lead like him. The calmness,the respect he gave to her mother and his wife alike Both of them were such inspirational characters. These kind of serials should be on TV
The way he carries her in that dessert and also in final episode too like thier last secons of life, such a love the characters have in that serial, what a serial, won our hearts forever ❤❤❤
This serial had the BEST PLOT and also unlike some shows who claim as ‘empowering women’ but all they do is show them weeping and helpless, this show really proves that if you have passion about your dreams, you can achieve them no matter what. Also it shows what an ideal couple is and what is the worth of a supportive partner. It’s sad to see that TV industry nowadays can’t create masterpieces like this again when the audience is more educated now than before.
We no longer got to see such an inspiring strong independent and bold character like "sandhya" in the whole tv history and till now. However there's "sai" from ghum hai kisi ke pyar mein but definitely would never match sandhya's level. Remembering the good old days 🤧❣️
sonakshi from kuch rang pyar ke aise bhi was a very very strong female lead... she was strong, bold, self-esteemed, respected elders but she did never let her self respect go down, stood for herelf and for anything wrong...

Though it's ending was painful but that was the best way to end the Serial. Tumne jo dekhe sapne suhane, un sapno ko apna banane. What a lyrics and Suraj fulfilled her dream. ❤️ Please someone take me back to my childhood 🥺.

Don't know people noticed it or not , at first u see the show has more female characters but the show was about how sooraj (Male dominant show) that how he dint disboyed his mother and even won the heart of sandhya although she doesn't liked her at first and made her persue her dreams . He balanced his relations with both mother and wife in such a amazing manner! The show was about how a Male should maintain his family without disappointing anyone ...

A true gem of ITV.😍 This show is the first ever Hindi serial I've watched.❤ My mother started watching it since it came in Telugu on Star Maa and since then my whole family used to watch it together on Star Plus at 9pm.👀 I was in class 1 then. It's almost 11 years to this show.✨ Time flies by so fast. My childhood memories.🤗 I miss those golden days. Nostalgia.🤧 This promo is my most fav of #DiyaAurBaatiHum and I loved watching it.💗 And this song and those vibes...💝 One of my fav shows of all time.💞 I have literally watched it soo many times.💕 Nowadays Star Plus doesn't make such shows.🌚 And even when they do, they don't get good TRP to sustain.😭
