Precies een week geleden besloten we dit nummer op de setlist te zetten van ons a.s. optreden (schoolband Pieter Nieuwland College, Amsterdam). En bij toeval knijpt nu de originele zanger er tussenuit! RIP Jacques Kloes. Dank voor de vrolijke, gedurfde muziek in de jaren zeventig. ("The Oaperah, the Oaperah, we all like the Oaperah" - maar dan zonder Winfrey). Zegt toch wel iets over de 'staying power' van dit nummer dat een stelletje ouwe-knarren-als-wij het 40 jaar na dato nog op het programma durven zetten. We zullen onze uitvoering aan Jacques opdragen.
In 1974 deze goede muzikanten in Heerlen gezien. Naast dit soort leuke 3 akkoorden hits verzorgden ze destijds ok gewelidige covers van Jimmy Hendix, The Who etc.. Kunnen de huidige techno gasten, hip hop en andere saai eindeloos repeterende amuzikalieteiten... nog zeer vele puntjes aan zuigen !!! Mr Snow.
G E W È L D I G !!!!..ik weet nog heel goed dat ik als 7 of 8 jarig ventje in Heemskerk woonde en de toenmalige `vrijster/vriendin` ( Nellie heette ze..achternaam ??) van Jacques bij mijn vader werkte , kwam hij als echte nozem haar na t werk ophalen op z`n Zundapje...ik hééélemaal onder de indruk want DAAR WAS DE ZANGER van de Dizzy Man`s Band!! GOUDEN herinnering !!..

zo zat de hele groep in elkaar alles was gespeelt en niks was serieus. Als ik ze trof dacht ik dat wordt lachen maar helaaaaaaaaaaaaaass het was echt show dusssssssssss
