erickonasis - Dude...Mad props to both Jazzy Jeff and Cash Money....the thing you have to remember is...during that time when these guys step on the seen...there were cats in the parks of Brooklyn, Queens, and DA Bronx that were equally as good but did not have the exposure....like DJ Red Alert and DJ Kool Herc would make you lose control......even today if you ever get to Brooklyn and ride the A train from 125th and Douglas in Harlem....you may get a glimpse of DJ Peace.....This guy is from the late 70's and has a makeshift system with two TTs hot wired to a boom box and what looks like two Rascal batteries and he is every bit as good as all of the above.....I love'em all but it's hard to say who is the best. But would love to see a battle between Jazzy jeff, Cash Money, Jam Master J(RIP) and Kut Kreator and then I can die.......

I'm from Harlem and there was nobody who came out in the parks with their equipment including myself who had the skills of Cash or Jazzy Jeff. In the mid 70s to early 80s, we never even heard of this guys and we thought there was not much else to be done on the turntables we were using, then they came out with the technic 1200s and that changed. The turntables we were using in the parks were physically incapable of doing the stuff they're doing because the turntables we used back then we're less than $100. I also saw Flash, Theodore, Masterdon, Wiz kid, Jazzy Jay and none of them were in the same league as Cash or Jeff.

Never did. They never battled. Was supposed to but Cash went to a break dance contest because he loved dancing as much as DJn. The question still remains. Who would have won back then, Who would win now? Hmmmm.....

Thank you, finally someone realizes that.

They are both great at what they do and I'm glad that I'm here to bear witness to their greatness. Both have contributed to the art form and I know there is history between both and maybe one day they can resolve their conflict with each other. In the meantime I will continue to bear witness to their greatness.
