DJ Die & Krust in conversation covering their contribution to the Drum & Bass / Jungle sound. Early Bristol life, the formation of the music and club scene in the city + the wild ride of touring together in the Reprazent days.
@@TakeMeBackPirateRadio I know if I am listening to fat set or gathering some Junglist knowledge, you'll be in the comments sir! You have, by far and away, the best channel, though.
Saw krust dj roni size dj / represent live at Glastonbury in like 99 ish and all 3 were amazing and I think psychedelics were involved!!! Got all the old vinyls and still love to mix with them and they all still sound as good now as they did back in the day !!! My favourite krust tune would have to be true stories !!!
Great show! Whole new level of respect for Krust. Great energy from of them. I wish I'd had more confidence and got myself out there more when I grew up skating in Bristol in the 90s.
Who was the Specialist DnB DJ from Bristol. Suv Die Krust Roni had a show on the pirate radio but I always remembered Specialist too! Late 80s I'd buy my Hip Hop from Tony's Records and F.T.P Radio! Good Times!
All those old dope dragon vinyls are still great to have in your box if you want to shut down the Dance !!!! ( that is if u still mix on vinyl like me ?)
Love Krust, proper Bristolian, I grew up in Knowle, parents from Knowle West, moved to St Anne's Park (and my mates had close 'business connections' with the Knowle West lot. They also ran Twisted, a big free party, Die used to DJ at a few)..."going up the West 😂" Back in the day was fun, proper shady characters, dodgy business going down 😂 but that's where the good shit came out of. Nowadays Bristol has lost it's identity imo, too gentrified and hipster.
