I agree no more! I felt that the FIRST time I heard her! I felt super late to the party! But with a year like 2020 Heather is Best Female DJ on the Planet! SO ILL!
Yeah I saw her a couple of times in London at Notting Hill Arts Club. She always brought her A game in the early 2000's. Derrick Carter and Iz and Diz also used to destroy. Those were good times.
After being exposed to house music at an LA Melodic party in 1999 featuring Mark Farina, I was handed a mixtape of DJ Heather and must've listened to it a few hundred times in a week. I bought turntables and a mixer a few months later, but I consider my DJ training to have started with watching Mark all night and studying Heather's mixtape through hundreds of listens.
Having bought a Jeno and Mark Farina cd and DL a Lisa Lashes cd to burn and a few other House cd's back in the late 90's to 2004 I fell way to Trance, mostly Euro listening to Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, and Paul Vandyke. DJ Heather hear is new to me but well enjoying her stuff. Another notable house DJ in my opinion is Carl Cox who I started to listen to starting in 2019 along with a young blonde female from NY who is also new to me as of late 2019 who's name I forget. Continue to rock the house, thank you.
Saludos! Rafa desde España
Mad props to DJ Heather!! I first seen her spin at a Twin Cities rave called Gimmie tha' Funk back in early 2000. DJ Sneak bailed on the show and she stepped up. Me and my rave crew were let down by DJ Sneak but DJ Heather stepped up!! Good times!!!
