DJ Hiro feat. Masabumi Kikuchi - Kote Moun Yo (Joe Clausell Piano mix)
"Kote Moun Yo" is Haitian Creole for "where the people are" but it can also be "where are the people?" in the form of a question.
I returned to Haiti at the beginning of May 2010 and these are videos from my trip. It had been 5 years since I was there last, there are hundreds of thousands of displaced people living in tents because their houses collapsed in the earthquake earlier this year.
What's in this video:
-driving through the south-west end of Port-au-Prince with Colin: Carrefour-Feuilles and Martissant
-downtown Port-au-Prince at Chan Mas (Champs de Mars) by the palace
-riding on the back of a truck through Croix-des-Bouquets
-by the airport tent city with Zarry
-driving by the tent city at 'kafou twa men' with Michelet, Jimmy and Bony
