DJ Metatron ‎- Loops Of Infinity (A Rave Loveletter) [APW3] 

My girlfriend bought me this album, it’s probably one of my most prized records. It’s like an obscure film with no objective meaning, you keep going back to and understand/appreciate it more, thinking you’ve got it, only to have the same experience again on each concurrent listen. There’s a lot to be said for this sort of communication because it tells a forever unfolding, endless story.

He’s not from Earth. Unbelievable work once again I’m lost for words.

I love everything I've heard from this producer, especially his Prince of Denmark and Prime Minister of Dooms projects. But this Metatron album is special and really stands out for some reason I've never been able to put my finger on. A perfect balance between melancholy and euphoria that is hard to explain until the snares kick in at 130 bpm over the lush ambient sounds, and you're on another plane.

Your sitting in the smoking area, and squeeze in between some strangers against the wall. Everything around you feels overwhelmingly beautiful. The spark of the lighter, the distant flash of a strobe that catches your eye. A deep cold shiver starts at the base of your spine and charges up with a rush of love and emotion unlike anything you've felt. Its a feeling you wish could last forever, if only the rest of the night. You walk back in to find your friends. They're no where to be found. It doesnt matter, you have DJ Metatron now. And forever.

To DJ Metatron: This is a truly fantastic journey. We have been at home since March, no parties, no raves . . But for the first time since then, I hear the mutual language of a rave. Something special . . Something we are all familiar but can't really tell what it is . . A journey that happens there and stays there. Rave! I don't think I will listen this album again and always remember it as a memory of corona times, alone at home and dancing . . Thank you!

As an original UK raver from the late 80's-mid 90's...i can say without a doubt,this is more like trance than rave. None of this legal shit,we were in abandoned warehouses,with a sound system powered by a petrol generator on the back of a 18 wheeler truck.,in the middle of nowhere,loving the vibe,the atmosphere,and each other...while waiting for the inevitable police raid.. THAT WAS RAVE.

I'm picky about trance but this has become one of my favorites within that genre spectrum

Wow...I've enjoyed some of his other stuff, but this is on another level IMO. Reminds me a bit of Burial or Zomby reimaginings of hardcore, but applied to early 90s techno-trance era.

makes me feel how sharp the loss of dancing with strangers really is, but also sounds hopeful that we'll dance together again someday soon. stay safe & stay groovin.

I can only speak for myself but I think the reason this album resonates so strongly is that it taps into the very essence of rave. Rave as spirit, rave as soul, rave as a movement. The revolutionary spirit, the unity, the hope, the love, the freedom that you may have been fortunate enough to experience in a dingey warehouse packed full of strangers/friends pre early 2000's before the bubble began to burst and "rave" became commodified, commercialized and corpiratized. This is THAT feeling, the birds chirping, the sun rising, the echoes of reverberated warehouse bass still vibrating through your bones as you stumble out into the new day, alive, inspired, and hopeful for the future. As one previous comment mentioned there is definetely a melancholy and sadness to it, bittersweet you might say. I think many of us feel that though when we think and feel of the glory days of past, there is a joy to our memories of it but also a sadness that it is gone, and we must let go to make way for the new. Btw on a side note Metatron is also one of (if not the most) powerful of the archangels directly connected to god. Quite fitting as this music is literally angelic ! P.L.U.R ! 💚🤩🔥

This album is the eight wonder of the world brought by a sentient being from a place we as mere mortal humans cannot even imagine in all of it's glorious beauty. Let us all rejoice to praise this god amongst men for whom I will trade my own two kidneys and legs to behold this slab of pure unadulterated ecstacy of the heighest order.

I have to say, I have this on vinyl and - if you love this, and can afford it, the vinyl version sounds profoundly better. I don't have a crazy hi-fi setup either. Decent table, decent stereo and 500 between speakers and sub.
