Say what you want all played it safe and had flaws!!! Except for one! Jazzy Jeff was flawless! My Adidas flowed! Peter Piper was beyond words! Jeff paid tribute to a legendary DJ. It wasn't about being the best that night, it was tribute...Jeff paid it!!!! Recognize! Jeff did! He was flawless period. Remember check egos at the door! Some of you have missed the point. I def agree with you but capri is still garbage and always messes up.... watch any of his vids... im not a professional by any means and I can mix scratch and juggle way better than the kid.... he just got on by who he knows not by his skills...
I am 37yrs old and I have been mixin and scratchin since 1985 when i did my first house party for a friend of mine and i love the old school music. I still do oldschool parties where i live on a regular. All I can say is all these guys you have seen are great,but JAZZY JEFF IS THE BEST EVER TO ME! He has mastered his craft. that feeling....only these djs can bring it to you....todays djs may be a lot more technical than them and do extremely more difficult cuts than them but they aint got that spirit....
I've been to many DJ battles to witness hip hop DJs one person I never followed was jazzy Jeff after seeing his boiler room mix recently I felt a vibe that remind me of emerald city the tunnel in NY back in the day when hip hop was real jazzy Jeff has serous skills n I've seen them all my favorite DJs premier funk flex jazzy Jeff n DJ mugs there filled with hip-hop powers
remember without flash there would have been no Jazzy Jeff....Flash was an innovator and the godfather that laid the blueprint for all DJ's that came after him.
