They recorded this album in her brothers home studio. Finneas KILLED IT with the production on this. And Billie’s instrument is being put to good use here. She even said that she’s learning to use her instrument. Or that she has learned how to use it more and she’s really enjoying it too. It shows. For that belt in “birds of a feather,” she said that she had to be on her own for it. If I remember correctly, I’m pretty sure she told Finneas to leave the room when she did the belt..and was really excited when she did it. Like she had to run and tell/show her mom 😆

If you liked the latter half of L'AMOUR DE MA VIE, then you should definitely check out her L'AMOUR DE MA VIE [OVER NOW EXTENDED EDIT]. She basically took that second half of that song after the switchup and made it into its own full song. Its SPECTACULAR!!

Wild flower is basically about Billie breaking a “girl code” and when she talks about “I see her in the back of my mind all the time” she’s talking about the girl she comforted because she is now with that girl’s ex or was but not anymore. So it’s like a song about her regretting it and she couldn’t get that girl out of her mind bc she felt guilty basically if that makes sense:) I respect her for being so open about it and her feelings. I love this album so much.
This album..to me? It’s AOTY. Sorry Taylor. Sorry Beyoncé. It’s this one for me. I’m biased though. Been a fan of Billie since 2019. Seen her live twice already. Will be seeing her again in November for this new tour. Can’t wait to hear these songs live. 🔥🔥
THE DINER is from the perspective of her stalker. She has had some run-ins with people stalking her, even one who was caught. She sang about it briefly in NDA off the last album, then brought the concept back in full force on this album. I like it because it helps tie in that darker sort of sound that was very heavy on her debut album!
I love that she mixes different genres together. There are elements of R&B and Jazz which always makes music feel more deep and soulful. She's also got a hint of 80s rock Ballad at the climax of The Greatest which gives a break-through feeling. She's got some indy-alternative sounds...and some retro pop... It's just a great mix-bag

Billie has said that this album is her most personal ever. Finneas, her brother and producer made a conscious decision to allow Billie to be more apart of the production of the album. He in the past was usually the first to come with ideas for the music. They work on all of it together. This time he held his tongue and allowed Billie to be the first to offer music ideas. Whoevers ideas made the finushed product who knows but it is the album that is most her in a variety of ways. They have created an incredible soundscape with this album and she's 22! Lastly I haven't confirmed this or anything, but I heard that when Billie started writing Lunch she hadnt done the act but had by the time the song was complete. Thanks again!
