You gotta watch the documentary. He died alone but he was surrounded by a bunch of fake people. Which he knew would happen. He spoke about it often in his music. He got a bunch of Xanax and ketamine from his management team. A fan gave him a bunch of Xanax as well. But he took an oxy from a “friend” that was clearly pressed and have it to Gus because he wouldn’t take it himself , and then left him alone. This song to me is about wanting to die in a moment but also being full of optimism and genuine love to people. He channeled one situation or emotion and made songs.about it, he wasn’t an entirely dark person. Sometimes people are just emo- we can’t help it. 😫🤣
I feel that for sure! And I'm most of the way through the doc at this point. Really enjoying it but every time I get a good stride going, my daughter comes looking for Peppa Pig lol.
