Love his style of layering the samples to make the tracks in this album. Artist wasn't doing much of this with samples until much later until 2000s and beyond when you see more of this being used. Shadow was a pioneer and this album shows it.

Endtroducing is a timeless masterpiece. An entire LP comprised of existing music then sampled and remade into something else and something brilliant. This could possibly be the best example of an Audio Mosaic. DJ Shadow is almost his own genre! Glad you liked and great reaction. Check more Shadow out and DJ Krush who's an incredible Japanese Producer / DJ. These 2 are groundbreaking for Hip Hop Longevity and still working and touring today. 👍🏻

Thanks…. ‘It’s not me… the music’s coming through me’…👍 The song… and in fact the whole album is constructed purely from samples…. Of rare, unknown/ lost/ forgotten songs from the 60’s/ 70’s.

DJ Shadow is great, groundbreaking too. Some of the stuff off the Private Press record is genius.

DJ shadow was a co founder of U.N.K.L.E along with James Lavelle. He's done a load of great tracks varying in style. Check out This Time (I'm Going To do It My Way) and also Rocket Fuel for some other gems👍🏻

I like what I have heard from DJ Shadow including Six Days (which was in the Tokyo Drift soundtrack) and Midnight in a Perfect World. I didn't realize that he was American. American Trip Hop artists are rare. The only other one I can think of is Bitter: Sweet. Perhaps Thievery Corporation sort of qualifies.
