Ah the memories! Living in San Francisco with a bunch of mates, permanent sessions, much laughter! I was fooling myself into thinking I was good on the decks, the reality is I was Shiite, however I did purchase some good records - including several of these Photek tunes. The Yanks didn't have a CLUE about breakbeat/drum and bass/jungle at that stage, so us little group of Paddies tried to educate them. Memorable line from a couple of wide-eyed American lads who came back to the apartment with us after a club - "holy shit, maaaaan, you guys party like ROCKSTARS!!!" Still makes me chuckle

Modus Operandi and Hidden Camera are 2 albums that will never, ever get old.

photek can squeeze a drum into a fraction of a millisecond before the next one..genius man

Discovered Photek via MTV's show 'Amp'; back when the network had real programming dedicated to MUSIC. I have the cd. Also became a fan of Howie B. His cut 'Allergy' is one of my all-time favs.
