Filipinos DJ are just something different. I swear almost all Filipino DjS can play a wedding, club, garage party, bar, high school dance and just party rock. Not all races can do that.
Probably my 200th time watching this. He stabs like the vinyl is weightless. Dude is a robot with the ability to move his hand forward 7 times a second at 33 1/3 while the fader hand stays just slightly off time enough to make the cuts clean. I'd love to watch a proper slo mo of him in action. Also his phrasing flows like lyrics and is never repetitive.
It’s nice to see that even the first iteration of Serato was the last big revolution in turntablism. Everything that cam after was a gimmick. To this day the setup they’re using up to this day are basically everything you need to be a proper digital DJ. Maby Phase is an integral part of a modern setup because your more resilient to failure and wear off of certain parts.
Сильные ребята, я и не знал что так пластинки вертеть можно)) Спасибо всем участникам и организаторам, к последним просьба - размещайте побольше инфы к видео и на видео, хотелось бы знать героев))
Can't see the TT's properly, but some of the V1 participants seem to be cutting using Ultrapitch. That kind of pisses me off for some reason. Shame on them. Otherwise I agree with the top comment dude, it wasn't a battle, end of story.
25:28 this guy absolutely got some mad ass skills, staring the whole time at shortkut while timing his scratchez greatly is supertalented, this guy can be compared no doubt!!
The Russians wanted some serious revenge after shortkut rolled into town on a one wheeled deck and laid waste to an entire crew. It was heard that he scratched the eyes out of all the women and children before he kut down every able bodied male in the community. RIP the little Russians boyz left spinning on their Stanton kitchen tables.
it's funny to see different rhythmic nature. He's a bit behind which is more of a laid back groove, and most of the guys' rhythmic nature is active and forward which is more virtuoso-ish and instrumental groove.
20-23 What Ay Dope Stuf.. Just got taste for some scratch and just thinking about some shortcut.. spięcie... than just find this but really didnt know that dj.. :P but obviously, im some dj too.. :P xD fu**
Ok...they know how to scratch (with 1 turntable)....let's see how those fellows entertain a crowd (with two turntables) This reminds me a Hip-Hop festival where Q-Bert was sending people to sleep with non sense scratches. And in another room there was DJ Craze. A fantastic session with amazing mixing and scratching....Craze definitely made my day.
ShortKut put a ass whooping on that whole crew during that session. Its crazy cause they actually thought they was doing something. Shortkut was just laughing inside . "saying I got this"
It's a jam session, not a battle. I highly doubt any of them showed up like "I'm gonna show him what's up" All of the locals didn't shy away for a second and ended putting on a pretty damn amazing showcase so I'm sure Shortkut was impressed if anything.
