Oh yeah. And that’s putting it lightly. I was fortunate to get to use Izotope RX7’s ‘music rebalance’ feature. It’s not perfect, studio quality stems are always best, but man I hadn’t felt that level of inspiration in a long time. I agree, it’s a game changer. :)

Anthony MacCarthy the neural engine is just found on the latest iPhone and iPad A series SoCs but I can imagine that with the announcement of Mac moving to ARM processors it will be possible to do it on the Mac, an ARM based Mac to be more precise. I Don’t expect this to work any time soon on an Intel based Mac btw.

Where you at Algoriddim... I'm in the process of moving to Rekordbox after using you guys for over 6 years... this could bring me back in a big way if I can get this on the Mac Desktop version and be able to map the AI features to the EQ knobs.

@@akirareiko It's not the ARM processor specifically that makes this possible, it's an integrated machine learning coprocessor (Apple calls it "neural engine") similar to the compute units added to the RTX line of nvidia GPUs that allow for real time ray tracing (the compute units don't do the ray tracing, but they allow the noise in the image to be cleaned up in real time using a machine learning algorithm). That's why this will only work on the A11 or newer processors. However, if Apple does use the same chip design as they do on their iOS devices, which is almost certainly the case, the new ARM based macs will also be able to run this or similar software. The inference for the ML algorithm that enables this feature can be done on any CPU, but even the fastest dekstop CPU is unlikely to be able to do this in real time without the additional coprocessor.

@@parkerault2607 This is exactly why Apple is calling it Apple Silicon rather than ARM. Apple announced in the 2020 WWDC keynote that iOS and iPadOS apps will run native on Apple Silicon Macs.

Alberto Urias Castro i have and use spleeter and this is why im hyped about this. Spleeter on my old mac takes 2 + mins to process a song and divide the parts.. the power of doing this live is immense. But i guess we could expect it to come to ARM macs in the future, so we have to wait until we have it on a desktop level

Hi there, In order to load a new track into Neural Mix Pro simply drag and drop another track onto the stems grid and your current track will be replaced with the new one.

Nope. Djay Pro users can F off or move to the monthly paid service. Algoriddim are becoming like Apple and their customer service is absolute garbage.

This uses dedicated hardware, so likely no. Give it a year or two till there are ARM Macs, and you might get your wish.

Virtual DJ 2021 just added this feature too, so you can now also do it on a computer.

As a live sound engineer working clubs then believe me, someone, somewhere will try and use this on a club system. And yes it will sound terrible, and yes I ( and engineers like me ) will cringe. I see the future possibilities here, but there's a long way to go before this is anywhere near usable in a studio. Or a dance-floor for that matter.

@@stereomixerman Lol. I've been doing dance music mash ups and remixes in the studio without this for going on 20 years mate. If the bus drives this badly and sounds like the engine is about to seize ( for want of an analogy ) I have zero intention of getting on it.

@@billB101 Yeah I get it....wasn't saying it was studio quality.. But with the audio tech around these, you could get an old bus engine to purr...Sweetly...to use your analogy... Some young whizz kid is gonna do things with it you wouldn't imagine... I think.

@@stereomixerman For me it's about audio quality, whether I'm mixing live or producing or Dj'ing and this just doesn't have it by any stretch of the imagination. It's a toy though, not a serious piece of gear. I mean, if you want to look at wizzkids doing amazing cutting edge things then look at the guys using Serato or Rekordbox with controllers like the Pioneer DDJ-XP2 or the DJS-1000 and cutting up their own productions ( and other producers stems ) into a live DJ set. That's where it's at, different league. People are saying this is a game changer, but it really isn't to be honest. :)
